Dimitri's POV

I stood there in utter shock. Wasn't he supposed to be dead?! In a coffin, as a boney skeleton?!

"What the fuck... You told me he died!" I shouted at Alice. "Hey! Don't shout at my sister like that you little brat." Aiden growled.

I sighed and sat down, I rubbed my temples.

Alice took a seat next to me and sighed too, "Look, Dimitri. Adrian faked his death because of our parents." Alice looked at Adrian for permission to continue. He waved his hand and plopped down onto the couch.

What a graceful flower...

"He came out to my parents and long story short they beat him and kicked him out. When the news came back to us that they found DNA of his on a burnt body, they figured that he burnt himself alive because he couldn't cope on the streets." Alice placed a hand on my shoulder. "Forgive me for not telling you, I love you so much, but I couldn't risk it." She looked at me with sad eyes. "Baby, it's okay. I was just shocked." I placed my hand on her cheek and stroked it using the pad of my thumb.

I could feel a pair of eyes on me, I turned my head and saw Adrian looking at me with a glare. Something about him intrigued me, his eyes were a dark blue, a shade of blue I've never seen before. The only problem was, they held no emotion.

"Hey, you're okay right?" Alice looked at me in concern, my eyes averted from his glare to Alice's beautiful face, my gaze softened. "Yes, I'm okay. I just wished you told me sooner."

She wrapped her arms around me and said sorry once again before Adrian took her outside to talk. I sat in the living room quietly as I heard whispers, I heard my name and rolled my eyes.

"I heard my name, what are you two talking about." I walked into the kitchen and crossed my arms.

Alice stood and twiddled her thumbs. "Can I ask you a favour?" She said as she looked at Adrian. I immediately knew what she was going to ask.

My eyes darted between them. "Oh hell no." I shook my head.

"Please! Pretty please! I can't keep him here, mum and dad.. please?!" She walked over to me and looked up at me and pleaded with those emerald green eyes. I couldn't say no...

I sighed and waved my hand. "Find sure, whatever. But it isn't permanent." I pointed a finger at him.

"Thank you thank you thank you! I love you so much." Alice shouted and kissed my cheeks. I smiled at her cuteness, as much as I hate not being told, I still love her to pieces no matter what.

It was getting late now and her parents would be home soon. Adrian must've had the same thought as he suggested we get going. I rolled my eyes.

"Bye babe, I love you." I kissed her tenderly, as we pulled away I smiled. She went over to Adrian and hugged her. "Be nice, ok?" She warned him, and smirked playfully. He just rolled his gorgeous eyes.

Wait what.

Gorgeous? Where the fuck did that come from?

I shook it off and didn't think anything of it, his eyes are a unique colour, that's all it was.

Alice waved goodbye as we packed some of his belongings in the back of my car and we drove to mine.

The car ride was silent, a very awkward silence too. "So, Adrian, how old are you?" I glanced at him with a raised eyebrow.

He looked at me with the same dead emotion as before. "21" he said, no emotion in his voice too. Brilliant, I'm bringing home a corpse by the looks of things. He is pale, so wouldn't be hard to tell the difference.

As he looked out the window I glanced at him a few times, and took in his facial features. His forehead was a reasonable size, not too big, not too small, his eyelashes were really black and super long, his nose was slim and button like, not pointy, his cheekbones were certainly prominent, and his lips were quite dry looking but reasonably big. And his jaw line, Jesus it looked sharp.

He didn't look like his sister at all, Alice was green eyed and brunette. He was blue eyed and blonde, their facial features didn't even have a resemblance. Which was odd. Though I guess some siblings look more alike than others.

He caught me glancing at him and my head snapped back to the road, I coughed and looked at my rearview mirror to make it seem like I wasn't a creep.

From the corner of my eye I saw a slight smirk on his face, cocky one eh?

We pulled up to my house and he got out the car, I followed and helped him bring whatever stuff he had in.

"No one home?" He asked questionably.

I rubbed the back of my neck, "Um, no. My parents are away at the moment. They've only been gone a week. But they said it would be months before they came back."

"Ah." Was his response before eyeing the place.

I watched him as he did so, "isn't much, but it's home." I gave a slight laugh.

"At least you have a home." He glanced at me, once again, dead ass eyes. I laughed nervously. Trying to lighten the mood I guess, I couldn't imagine what he's been through. But he's here now and I hope he's damn grateful for it.

I got him to follow me upstairs and led him to the guest bedroom, it was plain and simple. Nothing fancy, he didn't seem to care about the lack of creativity.

"Help yourself to anything. Bathroom is down the hall to the left. Let me know if you need anything."

I heard him mutter thanks as I shut the door.

...Oh brother.
