High School Sucks! (Ianthony)

Chapter 28

Kalel's P.O.V:

I watched them kiss. I flinched. I wasn't used to that, not yet anyway. I was going to change that, for the greater good. I fixed the Tupperware container I held in my hands and prepared myself.

I coughed and they noticed. Anthony turned around and his smile faded, skin paling as he looked at me.
"Kalel?" He squeaked. I sighed, nodding. "Before you say anything-" I began "-I have not come here in spite of myself. I've come to apologise. What I've done was unforgivable but I was, and still am, hoping that we could move on?" I was hopeful, oh so hopeful. I was oh so sorry. I felt cruel.

Anthony and Ian shared a look. My gut twisted. They were talking to each other. A secret launguage I was yet to unsipher. I wished I knew what they were saying.

They both turned to me. Ian spoke up. "I'm... I'm grateful for the apology but if you wouldn't mind telling me where this came from all of a sudden?". He was speaking with a smile on his face. Real or fake, I didn't care. He looked happy with my apology. I sighed and looked down at my shoes. "I have felt so utterly bad for my behaviour. I was mean and cruel. I thought I still loved Anthony and it made me jealious how much happier he was with you, Ian. I've never been more dissapounted in myself." I looked up and handed him the container full of cookies Melanie helped me bake. "Me and Melanie made these for you two to share. Again, I'm sorry for the mess I've cause. I won't be hurt if you don't want to but I'd love it if we could all be friends..." I trailed off, too nervous of the reply I could receive.

The response I got wasn't of what I had expected. Both boys had pulled me into a hug. I felt warmth spread through my chest. I smiled brighter then I had in a while and hugged them back.
