Stealthily, the white tiger crouched in the dense undergrowth, feral blue eyes locked on the oblivious stag grazing just a few feet away.

"Real food, at last!" he thought happily.

With a powerful leap, the tiger launched into the air, sharp claws extended—

A burst of bright morning sun engulfed both deer and forest as a familiar voice said, "Good morning, young master. It's time to wake up."

Taren Leinier squinted against the light as Eduard, his old butler, drew the bed's heavy curtains. "Ugh, too bright!" he groaned, burying his face deep into the pillows, more than annoyed at the manservant for interrupting his dream.

"Oh, were you dreaming of hunting in the woods again?" Eduard inquired half-apologetically, noting his master's pair of fuzzy, feline ears.

Sticking out from the pillows, the ears twitched irritably before disappearing in a puff of silvery mist.
