Chapter 1: First Day

Author's Note: Hi! So this is my first attempt at a Twilight Fan Fiction and I hope all goes well! This is all set as if Twilight were happening last year -2010- instead of 2005 (I think Stephenie Meyer set it in 2005, I'm not too sure). Anyways! I will try stick to the character/plot 'laws'. This story is set in the New Moon/Eclipse parts of the series and is dependant on you guys knowing that Edward hasn't/didn't leave Bella!

Chapter One: First Day

Friday, 26th March 2010

Lost in the Stereo by All Time Low woke me up on my first day of La Push High. It came blasting through my speakers, so loud that I could feel the beat vibrating through my body. I sat up abruptly from the shock of the loud music.

Groaning, I slowly realised that it was my first day at a new high school, and the fact that I was starting half way through the first term didn't help either. I swung my legs over the edge of the comfortable bed and forced myself to get out from the bundle of purple and black blankets.

Doing what my brain told me to do, I got up, turned the music off and went into my closet and went through my draws to find something decent to wear to school that day.

I ended up with dark grey skinny jeans that were ripped at the knees, a black shirt that had lace sleeves, my leather jacket and black Converse. I wriggled into the jeans and headed to my en-suite bathroom. I tugged a brush through my wavy brown hair that was currently sticking up in all directions, brushed my teeth and put on some mascara and heavy eye-liner.

Grabbing my book bag and leather jacket, I trudged my way to the kitchen were mum had left my lunch money on the counter and a key change with a key to the house and to the Kid's clothing store she worked at. I snatched up the money and keys in one fluid motion, walked out the front door and locked it.

I shoved my helmet on and kick started my black Harley sprint motorcycle and took off in the direction of my new school - La Push High.

I loved the way people stared at me as I rode past them at a ridiculous speed, their eyes wide and their jaws dropping to the ground. I laughed at them from inside my helmet and slowed down as I got closer to the high school. I saw various cars turning into the school car park; I followed them and stuck my finger up at the guy behind me who was trying to ram me into the car in front.

I quickly got fed up with the extremely slow pace the student traffic was moving and cut across the school's lawn and went under the sign that read 'La Push High' and smaller writing beneath it said 'home of the wolves'.

I laughed to myself, going from a high school in Australia that was home of the koalas to a school that was home to wolves was quite amusing to me.

I got more stares as I parked my bike in the spot nearest to the exit and turned the engine off. A few people were laughing and staring, but most were talking about me already.

"Who do you think that is?" A girl's voice asked,

"It's gotta be Jake, he probably got a new bike." A boy's voice answered her,

"Nah, Jake hasn't been at school for two weeks, as if he's going to turn up today." The girl stated,

"I heard Jake had the stomach flu," Another girl chimed in, her voice slightly huskier than the first girl's.

"Maybe it's a new guy?" The boy's voice said again.

I laughed to myself again as I took my helmet off and I heard the first girl laugh as the boy said something along the lines of 'wow, a chick that rides a bike. Hot.'
