constellations :: s.w [completed]

Three

I felt someone shaking me awake. I opened my eyes to see sammy in front of me.

"Peyton get up! You have to see this!" He told me and pulled me out of bed until we reached my balcony.

He pulled out a blanket and motioned for me to lay down next to him. I don't know why we're are doing this. It's the middle of the night.

"I know that you have been stressed out lately. One of my favorite things is to lay down and look at the sky, especially when it's night so you an see the stars. I thought that this might help you." Sam said with a small smile.

I looked up at the sky and was amazed. Stars littered the entire sky. We just sat here for hours. Staring at the sky and trying to find constellations. And of course, Sam would come up why crazy ones that didn't even exist.

We played 21 questions. I asked him what his biggest fear was.

"I don't want to be just one of the millions of stars above. I want someone to say because of you I didn't give up"

I thanked him in the morning for staying with me and for last night. It really did seem to help.

*later that week*

Sam and I have gotten very very close. He asked me to come over tonight. I knocked on the door to his house and he opened it and greeted me with a hug. We spent the rest of the night just hanging out until we went outside to see the stars.

"Peyton, I can't hold this in any longer. I have never felt this way for anyone else. I love the way you laugh and how you smile really big when you get excited. how you still managed to smile in the darkest times. and as much as I love being your friend, I want to be more than that. Peyton, would you make me the happiest man alive by being my girl friend?"

Tears were streaming down my face like a waterfall. No one has ever said anything so sweet to me before. I placed my hand behind his neck and pulled him into a passionate kiss. For the rest of the night, we just sat there talking and kissing, below the stars.
