"Was that really necessary Brett?" I scolded after witnessing the interaction between Liam and Brett as the Devenford boys had all piled off the bus.
"Great to see you too babe," Brett smirked, completely ignoring my question. I returned with a glare.
"What?" Brett said, stepping back as his eyes widened, "didn't you see what he did to coaches car?"
"He played for it, can you let it go."
"Why are you defending him," Brett shouted.
"He's my best friend," I reasoned matching the tone of his voice.
"And I'm your boyfriend," Brett retorted.
"That doesn't mean I have to join your side whenever the two of you are fighting," I shouted, attracting the attention of some of the lacrosse players, "you can be a real dick you know."
With that said, I stormed off returning to my friends as Brett yelled my name.

The lacrosse game had started, although it was a very tight game Beacon Hills lead half time by three points. Not that I had noticed.
I had been watching Brett the while game, he wasn't playing as good as he should be, something was off.
Full time rang and Beacon Hills had managed to keep the lead, ending the game five points ahead.
I ran down to the field where the players were celebrating their win.
"Congrats Liam," I said hugging him, "you played amazing."
"Thanks Y/N," Liam smiled before looking up past my head, "I think someone might want to talk to you."
I turned around in the direction his eyes had traveled to see Brett leaning against the bleachers staring at Liam and I.
"Alright, I'll see you around," I replied before running off to join Brett.
"Hey babe," I said with a smile before kissing Brett's cheek, he returned with a small smile whilst avoiding my eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked, wrapping my arms around his waist.
"I'm sorry for being a dick earlier, it was stupid of me to think that you'd choose me over your bestfriend-" Brett started to apologize before I interrupted.
"It's fine Brett, really," I returned with a smile, "can you please try and get along with him, for me?"
"I'll try, no promises though," he smirked whilst I laughed, "but can we go and catch something to eat, I'm starving."
"Pizza and you've got yourself a deal," I replied with a smirk.
"Anything for you princess," he replied, bowing down mockingly. "Come on dork," I replied pulling at his hand and into my car.
