"Mingyu, come look at this," Wonwoo called to said man as he browsed the internet. "I think I found an adoption center near here."
Mingyu walked over with a cup of coffeee and wrapped his right arm around Wonwoo's shoulders with his face next to Wonwoo's. "Wow, really?" Mingyu exclaimed. They have been married for almost a year now and been wanting to adopt a child or two.
"Yea." Wonwoo showed the younger the website, looking through the child-friendly facility photos. "Do you want to go visit the place?"
Mingyu grinned. "Yes. Can we go today?"
"Sure, just let me get changed first." Wonwoo quickly wrote out the address of the center on his hand before changing into jeans and a white collared shirt and blue polka dots, feeling Mingyu's stare at him the whole time.
"Are you ready to go?" Mingyu asked, drinking the last of his coffee.
Wonwoo blushed at the smirk on Mingyu's face. "Yea, let's go."
Mingyu took Wonwoo's hand as they walked out the door, locking it tightly behind themselves.
Wonwoo felt his face heat up at the sudden skinship. Even if they were already married for some time now, he still gets overwhelmed at the small signs of love Mingyu gives.
Mingyu smiled sweetly. "So which way do we go?"
Wonwoo looked at the address on his hand and immediately recognized the street name. "After we pass three roads straight from here, we walk left and it'll be somewhere there."
Mingyu nodded. "So it's not that far from here?"
"Nope." Wonwoo let go of Mingyu's hand to wrap it around the younger's waist. "So what kind of child should we adopt?"
Mingyu thought for a moment. "Maybe a daughter?"
"Do you know how to dress up a girl with cute clothes then?"
"Yeah. They like wearing dresses right?" Mingyu said with a light laugh.
"I guess so?" Wonwoo smirked. "Unless she's emo like me and wants to wear black jeans and leather when she gets older."
"That sounds good either way."
When they were about to cross the second street, Wonwoo gripped Mingyu's waist tightly before he could walk into the car that just passed by. "Be careful babe."
"I will. Sorry." Mingyu laughed lightly.
"Imagine our child is less clumsy than you," Wonwoo teased while crossing the street with Mingyu close.
Mingyu pouted. "I'm not that clumsy!"
"Whatever. Just watch out next time."
"Whatever. Just watch out next time," Wonwoo said. "I don't want our little girl getting hurt while I'm at work."
"I would never let that happen."
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"Good," Wonwoo grinned before looking up at the other. "Now kiss me."
"As you wish," Mingyu said before kissing Wonwoo softly.
Wonwoo completely turned himself so he was facing Mingyu, kissing back genuinely.
Mingyu smiled into the kiss, pulling Wonwoo closer to him.
Wonwoo wrapped his hand around his waist to reduce the space between them.
Even after such a long time, Mingyu's heart still fluttered for Wonwoo. Each time they kissed, it was like fireworks going off inside. It was amazing.
Wonwoo pulled away, smiling at Mingyu's slightly red face. "Let's continue walking, shall we?"
Mingyu smiled and nodded. "Yes".
Wonwoo took Mingyu's hand and held him close, continuing to walk to their destination.
They finally arrived to their destination soon after. Mingyu looked over to Wonwoo. "I'm so excited!"
"Same here. Let's go in," Wonwoo grinned, dragging Mingyu in through the door.
When they entered, Mingy'su eyes filled with wondered as he watched the kids run around. "They are all so cute!" he exclaimed.
"They are!" Wonwoo smiled. When the woman at the front desk asked them about what kind of child they wanted, Wonwoo said, "Any young girl, right Mingyu?"
Mingyu nodded. "We would love to raise a daughter."
"Minji, please come here," Wonwoo heard the woman call out to the crowd of children. "That's a pretty name," Wonwoo whispered to Mingyu.
Wonwoo squealed when the child, Minji, lightly grabbed his leg. "Hi sweetie," he said, petting her head.
Mingyu bent down to her eye level with a smile. "Hello dear."
"Wow," Minji gleamed. "You two are so handsome! Are you my parents?"
Wonwoo nodded towards his husband, indicating that she was the one.
Mingyu nodded and smiled. "We would absolutely love to be your parents!" mingyu beamed
The woman brought the couple and the young girl to a table to fill out what seemed like a mountain of paperwork. "Mingyu, do these for me," Wonwoo whined.
"Okay," Mingyu said as he took a pencil and started filling everything out.
"Minji, come sit here on your daddy's lap," Wonwoo said, beckoning her towards him with his hand. Minji happily obliged, setting herself on Wonwoo's left leg.
After about 10 minutes, Mingyu had everything filled out. "Okay I think i got everything!"
"Wow that was quick Mingyu," Wonwoo smiled before looking at their child. "Minji, you can go pack up your things. We'll be waiting at the front."
"Well you know I'm really fast at writing," Mingyu said with a light laugh.
"True, like when I caught you writing your confession letter to me," Wonwoo smirked as they waited at the door. "Oh, there's our Jeon Minji~"
Said girl was running her way towards them with a small white suitcase and a plush panda. "Hi!"
"Ya," Mingyu said as he poked Wonwoo's shoulder. "Hi sweetie!" Mingyu said with a big smile.
Wonwoo crouched down to be in eye level with Minji. "Mingyu omma and me, Wonwoo appa will take good care of you, okay?"
Minji nodded happily. "Okay!"
"And we will always love you," Mingyu added.
Minji suddenly held a 90 degree bow at them. "Thank you so much.."
Wonwoo gave her a hug. "No, thank you for letting us be your parents. You won't regret it."
Mingyu smilled and hugged her as well.
Wonwoo pulled back and took Minji's suitcase and her right hand. "Let's get you home."
"What would you want for dinner Minji?" Mingyu asked, looking down at her.
"Hmm.." Minji looked down as they walked towards their home. "Do you have Korean beef? I haven't had it since before I became an orphan and it was one of my favorite foods."
"Yes we do," Mingyu smiled. "You know it's one of my favorite foods?"
Minji's eyes beamed at the tall man. "Really? Does that mean we can have it often?"
Wonwoo cooed at the interaction between the two.
"Yes, if you want too!"
"Yay!" Minji squealed. "Thank you omma!"
Wonwoo squeezed her hand lightly in satisfaction.
"It's my pleasure, dear," Mingyu smiled.
"Omma, appa," Minji said. "Can I tell you something that I never told anyone?"
Wonwoo nodded. "What is it?"
"What is it sweetie?"
"I already love you both, so much. I can tell you both will be the best parents I never had."
