on my way.

I woke up with a dull sound in my ears.

Dragging, dragging.

I open my eyes, only as I try to roll over and get a stabbing pain in my side.

I look over to see the source, my neck in pain with every movement.

"Oh my god." I say, tears welling up in my eyes.

A piece of stray, bent metal from one of the bus seats penetrated through my side.

Just when I realize what happened, the real pain hits me.

I scream out in agony. "HELP." I screamed. "SHIT, HELP ME!" I looked around for any one.

Bodies. Bodies everywhere.

A few kids I never really talked too lay not even 10 feet away from me. A few more bodies. Tears blurring my vision, but not actually coming out, I saw the kid Anna was talking too. "Wake up! Please wake up!" I hollered. No movement at all, from anyone. But where was Anna?

"ANNA!" I yelled. "Anna, if you can hear me, say something!"

Nothing.

I looked back at my side. Blood was pooling underneath, staining my shirt a maroon color. I tried to move and immediately had to stop. "Damn it." I said to myself as the thought crossed my side that I would never get out of here.

And that's when it hit me.

No sirens, no buzz of people talking about the overturned bus. Complete and utter silence.

But still the dragging noise in the close distance dragged on.

"Please." I said "If anyone can hear me, please help me."

I sat in the silence for another minute, still no sign of help or hope was heard or seen.

I realize what I'm going to have too do.

I look back down at my side, cringing.

I place my hand next to my lower back, and push up.

"AHHHHHHHH!" I scream.

I pull up still through the immense pain.

I heard a sound that made my stomach churn.

I leaned over as quickly as I could. My body was free from the torture. I looked back at the spike, dared to look at my side, and leaned over as my stomach emptied in front of me. I threw up, and waited for a second.

I stood up, feeling pain all over, and looked over to the gaping hole in the windshield.

That's when I saw it.

I startled at the sight of a man. No ordinary man, one with eyes rolled back, flesh hanging in his teeth. His skin pale and torn at some parts.

"Are you okay?" I questioned from a good 5 feet away. The man didn't respond, still trying to claw his way in.

"Hello?" I said.

No answer.

I looked to see what was holding the.. thing..

It's stomach was stuck on some glass, and it was clawing away as if nothing had happened to it.

"What the fuck?!" I exclaimed.

Backing away, I looked toward the emergency escape door at the back of the bus. No one was trying to claw their way in over broken glass.

I took one last look at the man, made my decision, and walked to the exit.
