Today was the day. I could finally, really begin my life. Tonight, I would be graduating college. Underneath my black gown I wore loose white floral dress and black flats.

Finally, I just officially graduated! *Squeals* I had my diploma and hat in my left hand and was talking with Maggie. My parents were already on there way to a restaurant that we had reservations for, Maggie and her family were going to come with us.

"I can't believe it's finally over!"

"I know!"

We walked down the pathway leading to the parking lot, when silly me remembered I forgot a book in one of my classrooms! "O! Maggie, I forgot something in one of the classrooms!"

I grabbed her wrist and pulled her along with me. At first she gave a surprised grunt, but fool owed through. We reached the glassy double doors and I pulled her in. Leaving her standing alone at the doors I started my way up the stairs. I made a sharp turn and ran into my main class and saw my book on my old desk. I grabbed it and ran back down the hall, and steps.

Running down the hall I yelled, "Maggie I got-" rounding the corner I stopped mid sentence. I exhaled, "Oh, h-hi." I swallowed.

There he stood. He wasn't wearing anything special, just some jeans and a button up shirt with some sneakers. "What are you doing here?" Maggie was nowhere to be seen.

"I had to come see you graduate, but I was a little late..." It took so much for me not to make some sarcastic remark, it was so awkward. Like we were just strangers, but we kind of were. If you didn't count that time in the coffee shop, we hadn't seen each other in nearly four years.

"You didn't have to." I looked down at his shoes.

"I wanted to though. I miss you..."

When I looked up again we were about a foot away from each other. I could tell he wanted to hug me, but I was never really one that liked physical contact with anyone. I didn't think he would've remembered. "Have you graduated yet?"

"Tomorrow."

It was so awkward, like we didn't know how to react around each other. I laughed a little bit, "This is so awkward." A small smile placed on my lips.

Hesitantly, his arms shaking, he wrapped his arms around me. We both stood still, his arms were around me, my arms awkwardly at my sides, but he didn't lean in at all. I knew he wouldn't, not until I did. My arms wrapped around him, still holding the book in my left hand, my hat and diploma in my right, my body melted, and molded itself against his. I breathed in and rested my head on his shoulder.

Dam you eyes. I mentally cursed as my eyes began to tear up and my bottom lip trembled ever so slightly. Breaking the silence he asked, "What book do have?"

"Nothing, it's just a Harry Potter book." But it wasn't nothing, because books were to us as the word Always was to Harry Potter. Even when we were kids, we had both loved books and reading. Especially the Harry Potter series.

"I missed you." He whispers in my hair.

"What about that other girl?"

"I broke up with her about a month ago."

I turn my head over on the side on his shoulder, "Why?"

"Because, I finally realized that I didn't love her." His arms wrapped themselves tighter around me, "I love you."
