"You two stay here with Olive and Grace," the Alpha says to me and Luna. "The twins and I are going out there to help the guards."

"What?" I exclaim. "There are too many of them, plus all of the infected streaming in through the broken fence. How are you supposed to survive?"

"We'll be okay, love," Erik says, wrapping me in his arms and giving me a quick kiss on the lips. He gives Olive and Grace a kiss on the forehead and they give him a clueless smile in return.

"We'll always come back to you," Ethan says from behind me. I step out of Erik's arms and walk into Ethan's. He wraps his arms around me in an almost too tight embrace and presses his lips to mine. I do not want to let them go out there, but I know I cannot stop them.

"Fine," I whisper into Ethan's neck where I have my head buried. "But you have to come back, okay?"

"Promise," my mates say at the same time. Slowly, I shuffle away from Ethan and give Erik one last kiss before going to stand next to Luna.

"Stay safe," Luna says, tone deadly serious as she looks at her mate and sons. They all nod before leaving the house. I hand my sisters over to Luna and creep over to the window in order to see what is happening outside. Erik, Ethan, and Alpha Seren are staying low and running behind houses. It looks like they are trying to gather guards and bring them behind the attackers, to catch them by surprise.

Luna pulls me away from the window and closes the black out curtains, leaving us with minimal light.

"Liam, it looks like it is getting bad out there, and I don't know how much longer our guards will be able to last," Luna says, a scarily calm expression on her face, seeing as it is pandemonium outside.

"What are you insinuating?" I ask, adjusting my sisters to a more comfortable position in my arms.

"You're going to have to leave pack lands. It is not going to be safe for much longer, especially since the Warriors came for you. If you want to survive, then you're going to have to run."

"What?" I say, voice cracking. "I can't leave you or my mates. W-what about my sisters, how will I keep them safe out there? I'm almost halfway through my pregnancy, how can I possibly keep all of us safe?"

"You're going to have to try. I don't see any other choice," Luna says, grabbing my hand and pulling me up the stairs into one of the supply rooms. She pulls on the cord connected to the light bulb hanging down from the ceiling, casting a light glow throughout the room. Digging through some boxes, she stands back up with one of those backpacks hikers wear.

"This should do," she says, pulling my gaze from the backpack up to her.

"For what?" I ask, putting my sisters down once I close the door.

"For holding everything you should need to survive out there." Luna is grabbing cans of food and bags of dried meat and fruits, stuffing all of it in the backpack. She takes a thick straw like structure from a bucket sitting on a shelf in the room.

"This," she says, waving the straw around before stuffing it in one of the pockets of the backpack, "is a water filter. Werewolves can't catch most diseases, but seeing as you're pregnant and your sisters are so young, you're more vulnerable than other wolves. Use this whenever you drink from any type of water source. It filters out all the bad things in the water."

I nod my head and walk over towards one of the tubs holding clothes. Rooting around, I pull out some long sleeve onesies, thick pants, warm socks, and winter jackets for my sisters. Luna does the same with another bucket of clothes but pulls out clothes for me. She takes everything from my hands and rolls it into compact clumps, making them as small as possible before putting them into the backpack. She places a few packets of matches in the front pocket before zipping everything up. I grab one of the sleeping bags stored on the bottom shelves and clip it onto the top of the pack.
