Chapter 10: This Alpha...this Man

"Let's see" I put the tea cup next me on the lamp stand as I sit on the couch. I set my lapton on my lap hitting chrome to goggle:

Golden eyes

All right, I began to stroll down to many, many pictures and web sites about it, but none of them looked like the ones I drew or saw in my dreams, or real by that matter.

I stop to stare at a picture that made my spine shiver; a wolf. Zooming in the picture, the wolf fur is colored black, but only his face is bit at notice, but what really made me shiver what his eyes, their golden, really golden.

"Their just like..." I whispered to myself, getting up from the couch. I hurry to my bedroom to get my drawing.

"No way..." running back to the couch, I sit down again and compair the eyes.

Their the same, the color, the stare, intenses feeling throw them, the shivers on my spine. Strange, why would a wolf eyes look exactly like this one? Opening a new page, I type:

Wolves

An image of a black wolf filled the screen, fangs bared, ears flattened. Snowflakes clung to it's thinck coat.

I dragged my finger across the screen, its eyes aren't golden, yet still, his dark eyes are a bit intimitating. Then, I click more images, that followed to more peaceful ones: wolves tumbling with their mates, cubs slepping piled on top of one another, regal white-and-gray-pleted wolves creeping through autumn woods.

I link from one of the species persevarion societies, then I scanned the text, pausing when it came to the section on packs hierarchy.

Wolves travel in packs, groups that range from six to fifteen member and have an established hierarchy. At the top of the social structure are the Alpha Male and Alpha Female.

A Mated pair.

A pair choosen by the Moon Goddess to be mated for rest of their lifes. When the Alpha Male finds his mate, The Alpha Female becomes his and his pack Luna. Leading the pack beside his mate, The Alpha.

"Mates?" The word flew out of my mouth, made my hair rise. I continued.

Though they are frequently the only wolves in the pack who produces a first born, to soon take the post as Alpha, after his Father. The Luna will breed and help other female mates with there own. She guards the safety and well being of the pack.

Males will establish their Alpha rank through ritual combat: one wolf may challenge another, resulting in a fight that determines which wolf is superior. Repeated victories will earn respect for the male wolf, and ultimately decide the pack leader.

A chill shook me so hard I splashed up some of my tea on my hand. Damn it! I stood and grab a towel and wipe it, annoyed at being spooked by this stupid article.

Even though it said nothing about their eyes I found it interasting and...personal?

It's been 3 weeks sense my last "encounter" with this situantion of mine. Last time was at the diner, now was at the market. If your buying fruits and veggies. How can from out of nowhere the scent of cinammon can just appear and then disapper?

I tried to forget about it, like Lucy said, but might be getting worst. I dreamed about him, last night as well.

I was laying under a oak tree, crying, crying so much it hurt to breath. I was holding my chest to tight, I could feel my nails digging in my skin. Then, he appeared. I felt strong arms hug me, making me feel safe and warm.

I wanted to stay there, with him, in his arms, against his warm body, his intoxicating smell. I tried to open my eyes, and when I did all I saw was gold. His eyes were golden, then I woke up.

My breathing was heavy and fast, I had marks of my finger nails in my chest and I was sweating like a pig, and I had the AC on.

"Argh" I rub my face with my hand, taking deep breaths. Then putting the laptop on the kitchen counter, I went through the rest of the aricle.

The next step in the pack hierarchy are the Beta wolves, who often hunt and provide protection to the cubs.

The Omegas Wolf is the lowest ranking in the pack. Often treated and a scapegoat, the Omegas are occasionally picked on by the rest of the pack.

Taking another sip of tea a flash of light startled me making me jump. I turn to my right to peered out the window.

My stomach flipped.

A shadow of a man stretched across the yard of the park infront of my building, under a light pole, under the poring rain.

He was looking at me, I felt he was, yet, I couldn't see his face. Now my hands are sweaty and my entire body bristled.

why?

Cinammon, the scent, it came through the window as the wind blew. I kept my eyes at him, waiting for him to move or waiting for me to move and call the police or something, yet, I coudn't.

Suddently he wasn't there, he vanished, how...? I stayed a while just looking at the spot where he stud, from my 7 floor window to see if he come back or to see something...

nothing.

Nerviously I closed the window and locked it.

*Flash back ended*

I still had the picture in my hand, my hand is shaking hand. This...this was that flash, that night. Stand up fast as could, walking back a bit. This Alpha...this man.

This Leader, is one who took the picture, the one who wants to keep me here and..mate with me!? I gasp for air, noticing I was holding my breath.

He wants me to become his Alpha Female, his Luna, the one those boys said and the mating ceremony. He wants me to lead his 'pack' with him and produce 'pups'.

Like some kind of animal!

"This is insane" I shook my head, feeling my hands shaken.

"No, no, no. I need to get out of here...now" I whispered running to the door, still locked. No, no, no, I need to leave...please, I kept saying.

"I'm afraid, I can't let that happen" a voice said from behind me.

It made my entire body bristled from head to toe, made my spine shiver like crazy and made my head fuzzy as the smell hit my nose. The scent, the scent I've been wanting to find out about for a very, very long time.
