Avery POV

I woke up early this morning at 6:35. I don't live to far from the school since everyone goes to that high school or the one, the next town over. It is a small town. I could take my time to get ready or get more sleep in, but I'd rather not do that. I'm just the type of person to get up early and get things done on time and head into school early.

I go through my usual morning routine which is: Make my bed, Take a shower, Take care of my personal business, Get ready, and Make breakfast. Off to school after all of that, it's basically the reason why I wake up so early.

I make my way downstairs after I put on my clothes and do my hair. I start to make breakfast, which consisted of oatmeal, fresh fruit, and coffee for my father, toast with egg and orange juice for me.

It was just me and my father, it's been like that for almost five years. I finish up and go fetch the newspapers. I walk back in to see my father clambering down the stairs in his silly cartoon robe. That never failed to make me smile. I smile, waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs. I hold out his newspaper and watched as he took it, kissing my cheek and mumbling sleepy good morning.

I laugh softly, following him into the kitchen "The food's in the dinning room" I say with a small smile on my face, walking up behind him, and giving him a hug from behind. My father was a big man, as in height at 6 foot 5 inches , and still in good shape for a 41 year old man with a daughter that's 17.

Anyways, I release him from the hug, I head to the dinning room and sit down. I say my grace in my head, and begin to eat my toast, with egg. I watch my father scratch his growing beard as he read his newspaper, before he even touched his food. I smile again and laugh softly. I start to eat my small breakfast, barely stomaching it all. I rarely ate all my breakfast, but today I decided to force myself to finish it, because today something amazing was going to happen, and I had to be at the top of my game this morning. I put my dishes in the sink, knowing my father would wash them. I do the cooking and he does the cleaning, of dishes basically.

I grab my phone and my book bag. I kiss my father cheek quickly, rushing out a "Bye" before walking out.

I was somewhat in a good mood even after what happened yesterday night. The reason why is because my older brother Chase is coming to town for his two week break. I hope he doesn't bring some arm candy this time. I honestly miss him so much

You'd be surprised to know that me and Chase aren't like most siblings. We actually like each other company, hang out with each other and all. We're very close, especially after Mom died. He always took care of me, mostly when Dad was mourning Mom then.

We usually talk on the phone or text but that isn't as good as seeing face to face and giving him an actual hug.

Any who, I was walking to school when I noticed the always emptied house a couple of streets away from where I lived, had a car in it's drive way.

I tilted my head to the side and wondered why would anyone ever move too these parts. I started to slow down my pace and watched as a girl and her father walked out the house.

I couldn't help but stare at the girl. She was just so pretty...No scratch that she was gorgeous. She had the most prettiest blonde hair, and oh my god...Her body and height almost made my knees buckled. I've never felt this way, especially towards a girl. I was kinda confused but I didn't want to think about it now.

It seems that I was staring for a bit, because before I knew it she was smiling and making her way over to me. I looked around nervously to see if she was walking towards someone else but it was just me on the other side of the street.

As she slowly got closer, I could see she was almost a foot taller than me since I'm 5'2, yea I know I'm short now hush up.

I looked around nervously to see if I could hide but there was nothing to hide behind of, and it was to late anyways. She was already in front of me before I knew it.

I gave her an awkward smile. I was at a lost for words. I can't believe someone as beautiful as her would come over here to talk to me. Maybe she doesn't know who I am...The daughter of the crazy woman...

I was trying to think of something to say, when she looked down at me and started to talk. She gave me a half crooked yet GORGEOUS smile and said "Hey, my name is Jennifer but you can call me Jenni."

I felt as if I was in a trance when I heard her voice. I couldn't help but blush...God! I must be embarrassing myself. "Oh hey, I'm Avery. It's nice to meet you Jennifer" I was finally able to say a complete sentence with out stuttering. 'Damn...Why the hell am I so nervous'

I wiped my sweaty hands on the side of my pants "You must be new here? I've never seen you here before..."

'Smooth one Ave' I groaned on the inside

She nodded her head "Yes, I moved hear over the weekend. Moved here with my dad, mom, and little sister. They wanted a fresh start for a bit"

I felt her staring at me, seizing me up and down. I couldn't help but feel a tingly feeling inside my stomach. 'Maybe I was still hungry' I thought to myself. I knew that wasn't why but I didn't know how to explain it just yet.
