~SangEun's P.O.V~
My hands trembled as I grabbed the empty medicine container and placed it in my bag. I can't believe it. I just couldn't. I grabbed my bag and swung it across my shoulders, adjusting the straps a little. I made my way through my room and to the door. I felt for the doorknob and gave it a twist, opening it.Walking to the piano room was a nightmare. A nightmare of beautiful memories me and Jisoo had. Entering the piano room made me hate my life. I walked towards the piano, sat down in front of it, and rested my trembling hands on the keys. Slowly, I played the song he taught me.
I hummed along, sobbing as I remembered how he patiently taught me the rhythm of the song. I also remembered the time he fed me the candy. I remembered it all too clearly.
"SangEun, are you ready?" I heared my butler call.
I immediately stopped.
"Y-yeah." I replied, sighing.
"The car is ready, so if you want to go now, just come out." He said.
I just froze there. All these things are happening to fast. One day I met a sweet and kind boy, and soon I'm gonna be visiting his grave.I sat there, remembering the day I found out about his death...
~
"SangEun. I have some very bad news for you." My butler said, sitting across from me at the dining table. I was munching on my favorite food when I stopped after he said 'Bad News'.
"Yes? What is it?" I said after swallowingmy food.
"I have thought about this for more than a week and finally decided to tell you this." He said. I took a deep breath, trying to prepare myself for what news is to come.
"Umm, remember Jisoo? He is umm.... he died two weeks ago." He said, looking down. What? How is he dead? It can't be. I heard him continue the song? I don't believe it.
"I'm sorry, what? How is he dead?" I asked with obvious panic in my voice.
"He died while playing the song he wrote for you. That's why you heard a crash. That's him falling into eternal slumber." He replied, trying to avoid eye contact with me.
"T-then how did the s-song continue? " I asked, my voice trembling as I held back my tears.
"His and your piano teacher." He replied.I felt my heart just shatter into a million pieces. So that's why he had not came for piano lessons. They all lied to me that he got a scholarship when he was pushing up daisies. I felt my tears roll down my cheeks. I was at a lost of words. I didn't want to believe it, but everything just pieced perfectly together that I must accept the fact that he's gone.
~
I exited the mansion and approached the car. I hear the gates closing behind me, and the car door opening. As I enter the car, I hear my butler wishing me good luck, before the door closes.
-
After what seems like forever, the car door opened, and the heat of the place rushed into the car, hitting me with a wave of the heat followed by the breeze that brushed my cheeks.
I exited the car slowly, and heard nothing except the slow sound of the breeze.
As my driver led me to the place where he rested, I said nothing. Hearing the breeze and feeling the gravel beneath my shoe was pleasant.Suddenly, my driver came to a halt. While kicking a few small stones, I came to a halt as well.
"Miss, we're here. Please face your left." He said.
I took a deep breath, and turned.I took a small step forward, and knelt down, feeling the sharp gravel scrape my exposed knee. I felt around a little, feeling the difference between the gravelled ground and the grassy land. I quickly took out his empty medicine container and held it in my left hand as felt around for the gravestone with my right hand.
When I came into contact with it, I ran my fingers across the front of it. I broke down when I felt his name carving on it.
As I sobbed, I placed the medicine container in front of the gravestone. As I did that, I felt smooth flower petals in front of the gravestone. I gently touched the flower petals, to find myself feeling the small delicate daisies.
It was my favourite flower.
"He requested for it before he passed away." I heard my butler say behind me.
My entire body shakes as I stayed there kneeling in front of his gravestone.
"Thank you for the birthday present. Jisoo. I loved it." I said, remembering the sweet sounding song that floated through the house on that rainy day.
"I love you. Jisoo."
