Our route to Austria was pretty simple. First we would take a wagon all the way to California, that would be about a month or two. Then we'd take a boat down to Mexico. From there we'd take re-load and take one more boat all the way to New Jersey. Where we'd go to Spain, Italy and then finally Austria. Where we'd do more research. Sounds simple? It's not. It will take close to a year to get there. It's pretty much impossible also to row in a canoe across oceans. Even with stops. But we can't just stay here forever, we have to take action. We'd come back as heroes. Heroes to the world. We'd probably get billions of dollars. Most importantly we'd get back happiness. Hope. Love. We would leave tomorrow. I found a scummy old suitcase in my moms closet and snuck it to my room. I packed twelve tops and twelve pairs of pants. Also eight pairs of PJs. Three things of toothpaste and a tooth brush. Also a comb and a spare pair of shoes. Also thirteen pairs of socks and underwear. I was set. As set as a boy traveling the world could be. I ate lots of food in preparation. My mother yelled at me and called me fat and a pig. I kept on eating. I didn't even feel bad when I stole $475 from her. I almost was happy. We had plenty of money, and my mom spends that money on me anyways. I'm just taking it in advance... Not stealing. The next day came quickly. We met up in the centre of town. We had both left notes explaining or absence and how we'd come back heroes. I can just picture my moms face when she saw it. Aggresive, upset, a bit sad and probably a hint of a smile for me thinking I'd come back a hero. I would come back a hero, I'd hopefully also come back to a loving mother. Hopefully. We were just two boys with clothes, $950 dollars and a plan. We ran past the school and the field hauling or luggage along. One suitcase each. Finally we reached the store. "Sam's horses and wagons." We went inside. We picked out a cheap, small, rusty red wagon for $50. All the horses were the same price, $105. So we chose a elegant, white one. The horse looked strong, tame and not too old. The perfect steed. We led the horse outside and Kyle loaded the bags into the wagon and climbed next to it. I guess I was on horse duty first. We had found an old map in my basement of the world. California was east. I just headed east. Staying off the paths and roads. After three hours the horse got tired. It needed a break, I did too. Kyle and I found a nice little spot in a flowery meadow and decided to sit. It was on the edge of the forest. Turned out Kyle had brought a ball. So we kicked around a bit. Suddenly Kyle stopped and stared in awe at something behind me, I turned around and saw it.
