Chapter 6: The Rescue

Reese kept feeling his chest where his wound was, it was aching him. Him and Dominique were walking down the street to find Finch.

"How do you even know where he is?" Dominique asked following him.

"Last time something like this happened, I put a tracking device on his phone, so he would be easier to find." Reese replied.

"You mean this has happened before?" Dominique raised an eyebrow.

    "Yes, this has happened before." Reese shrugged, remembering the time Root took Finch. Eventually, Reese looked at his phone and saw that he was very close to the dot. He looked up and saw an abandoned warehouse, "He's inside this warehouse." Reese pulls out his gun and begins walking towards the warehouse.

    "Um, what's the plan?" Dominique asked following him, glancing at the warehouse suspiciously.

    "We make a plan as we go." Reese calls from behind his shoulder. As they get close to a door Reese turns around and looks at Dominique. "Here," he hands her a pistol, "your gonna need this to save him, just don't shoot me ok?" Reese smirked than turned around and kicked the door open and stormed in.

"This is both awesome and utterly terrifying." Dominique yelped and ran after Reese. She ran in and kept the gun close to her. Reese stopped and held up his hand by a doorway. He stepped back and kicked the door open. Inside there was a chair and a man sitting in it, with a bag over his head, he wore a vest like Finch's.

"Finch!" Reese ran up to him and pulled the bag off of his head. He looked down and Finch looked up at him in terror.

"Mr. Reese! It's a trap!" Finch yelled and pointed behind him, once his hand was free. Reese looked behind him to see The Mystery Man behind him.

"Sorry Reese, you...lose." The Mystery Man  then lifted his gun and shot towards Reese. Out of the corner of his eye, Dominique jumped in front of the bullet and fell to the floor. Reese than went to shoot at the mystery man, but he was gone. He turned around and ran next to Dominique, who was trembling from the pain of the bullet.

"Why Dominique? I can take a bullet! You can't!" Reese looked up to Finch, "can't you help her?!" Finch stood frozen looking at Reese, he thought,

"I know Reese hates when children get harmed...but not like this." Finch than shakes his head and crouches next to Dominique trying to heal the wound. Finch looks up to Reese and tells him, "We need to get her somewhere safe." Reese hastily picks Dominique up and walks out of the abandoned warehouse, leaving finch standing alone. Finch sighs and quickly limps after Reese.
