Knock knock.

Frustrated, I threw the dish into the sink and rinsed my hands, muttering curse words for that chipmunk of mine.

Wait—mine?

Ugh, whatever.

"Coming!" I shouted, drying my hands on the kitchen towel as I made my way to the door, pushing my hair back.

"Yes?" I asked, opening the door with a smile for the man standing there.

"Delivery for... Doll?" he asked, reading off the label.

I frowned, grabbing the parcel and checking the name. Sure enough, it said 'Doll' with my address, and when I looked at the number below, I realized it was Abhimanyu's. I rolled my eyes.

"Is the payment done?" I asked, just to make sure he wasn't playing a prank.

"Yes, ma'am," he replied.

I nodded and closed the door. Grabbing the receipt, I scanned the list of dishes:

— Shahi Paneer

— 1 Butter Naan

— 1 Plate Kaju Rice

— 4 Pieces of Kebab

I raised an eyebrow. Does he think I eat like him? Four kebabs??

But at least I get to have Indian food after so long. Being Turkish and still loving Indian food feels like the ultimate betrayal to my ancestors.

I grabbed some plates and spoons and sat at the table, folding my legs up. I served some curry, picked up a kebab and widened my eyes.

"It's so big," I muttered before taking a bite and moaned in satisfaction.

This meal is enough to last me the whole day. Waise bhi, I only eat twice a day.

I shouldn't be eating the food he sent. Not after the way he left this morning.

It was slightly raining. We were wrapped in each other's embrace, both very much awake. His arm was under my neck, and my head was resting on his chest, listening to his soft, steady heartbeat.
