Chapter 4 || Save Us

Sabbath's POV

I left Dylan's place, shutting the door behind me and almost ran into Owen. "Oh.. hi, she's not in the best of moods to--" I started but he hushed me. "I came here for you." He said. "Owen, whatever happened between us was before I even knew about Dylan." I said. My cat ears flicked while my tail whipped against my legs. "I can't not be around you... you're always in my head." Owen said, his eyes were shining their ruby color. "No, leave me alone" I hissed, showing my cat fangs. He grabbed my wrist as I turned away and I quickly my morphed into a cat, and slipped out of his grasp, bolting away, I could hear him bounding after me on his human feet, the distant call of my name as he grew farther and farther away. I stopped when I got to the forest, morphing back into my Neko form and walked slowly into the woods. My home wasn't far from the begging of the woods, it was around the middle a bit. I leaped over logs, leaves and twigs crunching beneath my feet at the damp smell of rain that was soon to come. I found my home, it was a stone cave with giant walls and spikes on the ceiling, it was tricky getting down like it usually was I leapt off closest to the ground, landing on my feet and walking through the dusty grounds. Leaves fell from the trees, showering the ground as they fell. By the time I made it back to my home in the forest, my boots had gotten torn up from the venture to and fro from the village. I opened the wooden door, my eye flickering quickly to a young girl fast asleep in bed. Her eyes opened and she sat up, yawning. "Ember, stop lazing around, you know there is housework when I'm gone." I said, ruffling the little girl's hair and walking to the kitchen. "Sorry bout that... you know im ill and Mother isn't here to help." Ember said. My heart darkened a bit. "Never speak her name again." I snarled. Ember still sat in bed, her one blue eye, showing brightly amongst her brown one. I turned away and reached my hand up, touching my blind, silver eye. "Sister, I'm pretty sure I'd know that your blinded in that eye." Ember said softly. "Ember, I'm not blind, it was a birth defect like your blue eye." I said and started cooking. Ember sat up, hanging her small, fragile legs off the bed. I gave her a cup of water as she started coughing. After Ember finished coughing, she gulped down the water I have her.
I finished making pancakes and have her some, smeared butter on it and splattered syrup along side of it. Suddenly my blind eye started hurting and I got up from my chair and went into my bedroom, next thing I remember was me plummeting to the ground and plunging into compete darkness.

Sabbath's Vision:

I stood in a clearing filled with light, there was a tall guy standing in front of me, looked exactly like Owen. I forced myself to speak. "O-Owen?" I managed to stutter.
"Dont turn back" the figure said. My cat ears flicked nervously as I glanced around frequently trying not to focus on the figure. I realized a short girl figure that looked like Ember had joined his along with a girl who had fiery hair and another girl with long shadowed hair, and coal black eyes.
"Save us!" They shouted in a chorus screaming it loudly. The girl that looked like Ember started shaking me and screaming "WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!!" She started screaming in a worried tone.

End of Vision

I woke up, sweating and Ember had dragged herself from her bed to my room, and was now sitting up beside me, tears streaked her face. "I thought your were never going to wake up" she sobbed. "You fell really hard and it scared the shit out of me.." she added, holding my hand on with her tiny fragile fingers. I coughed and got up, picking her up. "Visions take their toll" I said, carrying Ember back to bed and tucking her in. I grabbed the dirty dishes and cleaned up the place. Soon I walked weakly back to my bed and lied down.

Duffy's POV

I stood, gripping my dagger. I put away my dagger and grabbed my shovel, slamming it against a thick, ice wall. I turned around to see Shadow cradling the small baby, without its mother it had no food. "Celests getting hungry" I say and turn back to the ice wall, digging through. "Yeah, we need to get out of this ice habitat before some snow golem or yeti tries to kill us all." Shadow says and follows me through the snow arch I made in a wall. I look out, but all I see for miles is flat snow, then some kind of sign tacked into another ice wall to my left. I turned left and wiped the snow off the sign. The sign read:
Grass Plains through Here, entrance closes fast after the moon light hits this sign, so move quickly. I was also reading it out aloud and Shads had heard me. "Wow. Whelp at least we have fire wood..?" Shadow said, slumping her bag onto the ground and handing me the child. I looked at it then picked the tiny little girl up, holding her in a blanket. As Shadow set the fire, the little girl's eyes had opened. I smiled a bit at the thought of this being Raya and Tyler's child, but the thought of the child never being able to see her real parents had made my heart skip a beat. "Their red like Raya's" I said and looked up. "Do you think she'll have black hair or fiery hair like her mother?" I asked and sat down by the fire to keep warm. "Depends, I mean, there is a possibility have it being brown, orange, or blonde, you know." Shadow said and sat down beside me. "You're right, if only we hadn't had to flee our igloo so fast... I left my sugar behind..." I pouted. The thought of sugar made my mouth water. It's sweet aroma... very sweet taste and last of all the snow-white color and crackle of it in my mouth...
"Duff, it's not your fault that we had to leave so quickly, we had to move for the sake of the child, it's too cold here for her" Shadow said. I looked up at the sky. "I know, I know... I really want to fight something right now" I said as I continued looking at the sky, it was slowly fading to night time, and soon we will be into the grassy plains again, where it will be warm and sort of safe for the young child.
