[Shadow's POV]
I held the baby awkwardly now since my hate for small children was growing. I swear I don't know how to act in situations like this. We're stuck in the middle of no where, trying to get to Thornsdale or Thornveil, it doesn't really matter where we go, I sat down by the fire, it was night time. This was pain for me and Duffy, we both didn't really enjoy children being around all the time, expecially ones that are helpless.
I glanced over Duffy who was staring into a colored map, trying to draw out a trail towards the nearest town. "How's the mapping going?" I asked, breaking the sheer silence. "Pretty good, it's just harder than when I used to do mapping months ago." Duffy replied, sketching out a thin but visible line across the map. "The closest town would be Hollivale, a couple miles after Hollivale would be Thornsdale and then after Thornsdale is Thornveil, and we're here." She said pointing to three stars on the map, she was right, by foot it looked like Hollivale was about half a mile from here. I shifted the tiny life form in my arms and kneeled down beside Duffy. "Okay. Then we'll head out in the morning." I said, "whoever wakes up first wake the other." I added and went the basket that had a fluffy pillow in it and a soft tiny purple cloth from Duffy's bag. I gently layed the infant in the basket and tucked her in warmly then pulled back my blanket, Duffy's sleeping bag was on the other side of the basket and she was already warmly tucked in. I sighed and layed down pulling the light blue sleeping bag top over me and drifted into complete sleep.

"Liz watch it, your fighting insanely!" I yelled at a girl, she silky golden hair and creamy skin. She looked at me with a blank face and didn't listen, still fighting through the crowd of demons dangerously. "Elizabeth, I'm serious, listen to your squad leader!" I called loudly over the sounds of battle. A demon rushed at me and nearly tackling me, I sighed and leapt up into the air, silver gleaned from my back on the shape of wings, I flew high and peered down at battle. I saw Duffy fending off some possessed souls while Raven and Her squad of Sabbath, Catherine, Glenn and Roux forming a type of planned battle against a huge demonic spirit that was made up of smoke and bones, luckily Raven's squad contained our strongest magic dealers (people who used magic to fight unless it wasn't the right kind of situation.)
I pushed higher into the air until I saw someone demon with perked red horns and ruffled black hair, along with a set glowing red eyes rushing towards Raven's squad. I immediately recognized this demon. It was Owen.

I woke up immediately, covered in cold sweat, the memory of the battle fresh in my mind. I looked at the basket where tiny Celest slept soundly, and peered past her to Duffy, who's midnight black hair was covering her face as he chest rose up and down, showing a sign she was fine. I nudged her with a cold hand and she let out a tiny whimper, signaling she wanted to sleep. "EY, Doofy it's time to get moving if you want to get food." I said and pushed her onto her back. "Ow! The sun hurts!" She mumbled, covering her face with an arm. I smirked and got up, the fire was already put out and a light breeze flew softly through the air, ruffling my strawberry blonde hair.
I looked around at the prairie we were on, seeing a forest on the horizon. Beyond that was Hollivale, my home town. I wonder how my brother is doing, I haven't visited him since I left with Raven and the others on the journey. I sighed and looked at Duffy who was awake now, sitting up sleepily, packing our left over food and blankets into the bag. I grabbed the bag quickly out of her grasp when she shut it tightly and smirked. "You get Celest today, remember?" I said and started walking off, hearing her loudly sigh behind me as she picked up the basket and follow after.
This would be a long day.

[Raven's POV]

I silently sat on the wooden roof of a tavern, Sabbath quietly standing behind me. Owen had gone inside for a drink but Sabbath and I weren't drinkers.
"God he's slow. I want to get going before Tawny finds me again." I said quietly, chewing on a fresh chunk of bread. "We're pretty far off from where we once were...its not like shes going to find us sitting on top of a tavern in wide open space." Sabbath said, completely sarcastic.
"Of course your little friend wouldn't find you here if she was being held captive in her own home." A womans voice spoke behind them.
By the time I stood up and lazily turned around, Sabbath already had her katana equipped, staring at the new comer.
The girl was younger than me but I could sense tons of powerful magic energy pulsing off of her. She had short cotton candy pink hair and devious red eyes. She had on a dark gray dress and black heels that made her taller than me. Im short dont judge. "And you are?" Sabbath asked, narrowing her eyes. "Rey, you don't need to know my last name." the girl said. She had that stupid mischevious gaze in her eyes and a dumb smirk. "Listen girly. I'm not in the mood for fighting." I sighed, faking a yawn. "In that case dear, i'll fight you. So I have an advantage" the girl spoke with ease then clapped her hands together and flames sprouted from her hands. Crap fire magic... I shivered but then grabbed my sword out of it's sheath and stabbed it into the wooden roof, clapping my hands together, hovering them over the blade as it froze over.
I smirked, as if I wasn't worried that she had flame magic. I rubbed my hands together and grabbed the blade hilt, equipping it like a pro.
Sabbath flicked her katana out to the side, a white beam following behind every movement she made with it. "I'm warning you. When i'm tired, I don't want to be messed with." I said, leaning on my sword.
The girl's flames went out and she flicked her hands out and turned into a light figure for a quick second and then when she was herself again, she was wearing a new outfit, leather and mail. There was a sigil acrows the front side of the plate that was a lightning bolt with jagged gray designs across it.
"Requip magic. Nice... mistake," Sabbath said dashing forward her blade turned into light and she struck down on the girl, but there were then two daggers blocking the blow. The girl named Rey used a great force to blow Sabbath back. "Careful!" I called and watched her put and arm out as a break and put her feet down still sliding towards the edge of the roof at a fast speed. I dashed out quickly and grabbed her arm before she flew off, keeping my ground. "Thanks." She rasped as she got her balence. "Shes underestimating the elementals." I snarled. "I warned you.." I said loudly. By now I could sense the eyes of civilians watching us. I ran forward. "Big mistake dear." Rey said but just before that I slammed the palm of my hand on my sword hilt and appearee behind her. "Wh-" she started but was inturrupted by being slammed straight through the tavern roof , I fell through as well but caught my fall by landing on a table that coincidentally Owen was at. "Did something happen?" Owen looked up at me. "Stop drinking and get the bitch!" I yelled at him as Rey gathered herself up, climbing off the broken table.
"Ohhh.. girly, this will be a fun night for you."
I muttered and wiped her blood from my hand.
