It's been like 3 weeks since I made the bet with Charlotte. It seems like everyone but the both of us has a date..... oh and Tiffany too. But we all know who hers is. I really wanna win this bet though. But wait. Doesn't that just mean that everyone finds me unattractive and geeky just like I feel. Okay, maybe losing isn't such a bad idea after all. That just means I'm gonna spend so much money on those earrings though.
I'm taken away from my deep thought as Natasha runs up to me giggling.
"Did you hear? Brian asked Katherine to prom yesterday!!"
My smile flopped almost immediately. "Really? He did? Well I'm happy for her."
"You sure don't look it" Natasha says. What is it with friends and always being able to read your emotions. It really sucks.
"Oooo. You wanted him to ask you?? You totally did!!! I knew you hadn't gotten over your crush!" She started giggling again.
"Okay okay fine. I'm not over it. Now shut up!" I walk right past her, nostrils flared, to my Biology class. I hope we get to bisect those disgusting frogs today.
One more period. One more period. You can do this. I was practically dead after Bio. I still have Physics left. Being a science student sucks at times. I'm getting ready for my class when I notice Kevin McConner walk into my class. That's a bit weird but okay. Kevin is a typical basketball player with the physique and all. He's not bad looking at all either. Just... he's a bit shorter than I am. Well who isn't really. We used to be tight back in freshman year, but I guess he figured I was too geeky and went on to find cooler friends.
So, he's coming over. Why is he coming over here? I try to imagine how I look right now. Not too appealing I'm sure. And I think there's something stuck in my teeth. Oh God....
"Hey Carla",he starts. I look up at him and flash my best close-mouthed smile. "Can we talk like after the class? I believe we have some catching up to do".
Oh now he knows we need to catch up. "Oh sure. No problem. I'll meet you then."

Well I'm beat. Once the class is over, I rush to the cafeteria for lunch. It felt like I was forgetting something. Oh shit I was!! I was meant to meek Kevin after Physics. Oh shit oh shit! He probably thinks I'm an ass. A geeky ass for that matter. I sigh a little as I walk over to my table and nibble on the food a bit. I really didn't have an appetite. I honestly just wanted to go to the library and read. Since everyone else had SAT's coming up, I wanted to work extra hard and make it count.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice Kevin pull up a seat beside me.
"Hey! I looked everywhere for you. What happened?"
"I don't know. Really. I guess it just slipped my mind" I was really not paying much attention to this conversation. I had more important stuff on my mind.
"Okay well I'm going to the library tonight. SAT's in two days. Not feeling so up to it." He continues.
"Sorry about that. I'm going there to catch up on Bio. Missed the previous class cuz I was sick."
"Well that's cool. I guess I'll see you then?"
Before I could even reply, he starts walking away really fast. Almost as if he knew I was gonna say no. It's just one night right? what hurt could it do?
