My hallway has no wallpaper. Or really anything on the walls. Huh. I shrug it off and now I suddenly have the urge to smush my face in autumn salad.
I walk through my new house, wondering what the architects were thinking when they built this place and how much the interior design reflects my SOUL. If I have one. Hehe.
I grab all of the needed ingredients from out of the fridge and frown to myself. Where am I supposed to make this healthiness happen if my path is blocked by a bin?! Then the strangest thing happens. The bin disappears!
I step back in surprise, clutching all the salad ingredients close to my chest, breathing slowly. There's only one explanation... The ghost llamas have returned.
My eyes widen in surprise and I clear my throat, standing up straight. No llamas are going to scare me away from making my healthy salad!
I walk to the counter and start to make the salad with a brave expression on my face. Oh yeah. Those llamas are probably shaking in their boots because of my awesome chopping skills.
After a few minutes of tossing salad (like a pro, of course), I decide to read a book about squids, and their meaning in life.
After a while of sitting under the owl slide, appreciating a porcelain pig whilst eating a bowl of salad, washing my first ever plate and watching a movie, I get my first ever job! As an assistant dishwasher! Hey.. Everyone starts somewhere.. Right?
I decide to walk outside and make a few friends! I meet a guy by the name of Travis Scott, a man called Preston and a young woman named Annabeth Humphrey.
Just as I'm socialising and blending in with society, a small old lady walks past us. I smile at her, planning on adding her to my pokem- friend collection, she walks to the road and suddenly DISAPPEARS into THIN AIR!
Oh my gosh. Is there some kind of transdimensional drain here? Maybe she fell down the drain. Or like- Did she die?! I'm going crazy.
I turn back to my group of friends and say bye to the old guy and tell a few jokes to my other two friends.
I swiftly place a trick buzzer into my right palm and hold my hand out to Annabeth who shakes my hand. Her expression turns to shock and she shoots up in the air, jolting around as she's electrocuted. I pull away and let her go and we both laugh it off.
Phew, I didn't kill her. It's my first day here! I must impress all the ladies.. Oh, and the men.
Then, another man walks past us. Wow, this street is the hotspot for all the cool kids in Willow Creek.. Well.. Of course it is. I live here.
He strolls past us with his head held high and just as I'm about to introduce myself, he walks to the road.. And DISAPPEARS. I-is he hiding or something? A flash of fear reflects on my face.
"The-the llamas.. R-road... Llamaaaaaaa.." I mumble, getting carried away in my thoughts. I turn around and my two newly found friends nervously laugh, stumbling backwards before nudging each other and looking to the floor, turning around and walking away quickly.
Dammit.. Why can't I keep any friends?! I frown to myself. What was wrong about my revetting joke about monkeys, and my conversations about furniture?
Maybe I should talk more about squids.. Yeah! Everyone likes squids, right? Yeah?
I hear the clipping of small high heels behind me and I turn around to see a little old lady walking to the road... The road. The road!!
She'll disappear too! No! I can't let this happen! I run over to her, breathing a sigh of relief as she doesn't disappear.
How did she do that? She survived! I stand in front of her, a little bit out of breath.
"H-how?" I mutter, looking confused.
The lady smiles and chuckles, tapping her nose with her finger.
"I'm Mia Yang. You're the new neighbour, yes?" She asks, her grey fringe getting in the way of her sight.
I smile and nod. "That's me. Would you mind if I asked you a question?"
What happens after this is a conversation on meant for the ears of my no longer beloved, Mia Yang. And I have vowed.. Never.. Never.. To ask a 90 year old woman this ever... Again. She told me things.. Weeeeeird things.
Let's just say I never did meet Mia in the dumpster.. And to be honest, I don't actually regret it. I hope she still isn't waiting for me in there.
At 10pm, I decide to take a trip to the park accompanied by my new pal, Preston.. Who runs away from me as soon as we meet up!
I eventually catch up with him and he nervously laughs. He annoys me already.
After a short while, Preston runs away from me again and I spot a beautiful girl laid down on a bench, sleeping.
I smile and stroll over. "Hey.. You.. Person!" I say, trying to wink but squinting slightly. A fly gets into my eye and I blink rapidly, my eye watering up.
The girl eventually wakes up and smiles at me. I soon find out her name is Erica and we end up playing a very casual game of chess.
My eyes begin to wonder around my surroundings and I set eyes on the most beautiful being I have ever seen. A... Llama hedge. The it occurred to me. I need this. I make a mental note, and, still awe struck by the hedge, I decide to drop a chess-related pickup line after I turn to Erica.
"So.. Would you mind if I.. Pinned your.. Rook?" I ask with a little wiggle of my eyebrows.
The small brunette grimaced slightly and stood up. "Sorry.. I don't really like... You.." She mumbles, looking at Preston with a little flirtatious wave before walking away.
Aw. Preston!! He ruined my chance! That was an awesome pickup line!
I stuff my hands in my pocket and look down to the ground, walking out of the park when I turn around to see Preston and Erica sitting together on a bench.
"About that checkmate.." I hear him mutter with a little smirk and I retch, pretending to throw up before I walk on home, having a small meal before going to sleep with a frown on my face.
