"I told you!" I say after my dad walks from the bathroom downstairs. "He is your dad." Thomas says as we walk down the stairs. "Captain!" I yell as we reach the bottom of the stairs and here he comes barrelling down the stairs. "Good boy!"

I grab my wallet off the counter and my dad and Amber appear. "We've been talking we don't think Thomas should stay here." My dad says as Amber nods. "What did you just say?" I ask astonished. "We don't" I cut him off. "I heard you. But what gives Amber the right to say who can and can't stay here with me?" I say angered. "She is your step mom." My dad says a little loud.

"Thomas take Captain upstairs now!" I tell Thomas because Captain looks like he was gonna kill my dad. I don't care if he killed Amber though. "My mom is gone. Amber is not any of my relation." I say calmly but piercingly. "Carrie!" My dad yells as Thomas comes down the stairs. My dad points at Thomas "He is not staying!" My dad yells. "He don't stay, I don't stay!" I say. "You don't have anywhere to go!" He says "I'll find a place!" I yell as the house phone rings and my dad answers.

"It's for you." I grab the phone and say "Hello?" The person asks,"Carrie?" "Yes?" "Hi! I'm calling to say your mom left everything to you. From her house to her savings. I know your underage but your mom left specific instructions that whatever age you are you get it. So I just need you to come and sign some papers. If you would?" "Yeah sure thanks! Umm where?" "At 2nd and 3rd street." "OK thanks!" I say and hang up. "I'll go to mom's house which is mine now!" I yell "Captain!" and he comes to me and I pick up his leash. "We'll be out soon." I tell my dad and walk out with Thomas by my side.

"How do you expect to pay for the house, food, water, insurance?" Thomas asks. "Well the house is paid for and my mom had a $500,000 life insurance. So that leaves me set for a little while and I get her savings too and whatever is hers becomes mine." I say as we start walking to 2nd and 3rd which is a little ways but not much. "Oh ok. Umm where is her house?" Thomas asks as he puts his arm around me. "Not to far away from my dads." I respond. "So how do you plan on moving all your stuff?" Thomas asks his 3rd question in 20 minutes.

"Well I turn 16 in a couple months so I can get my drivers license. Since I did drivers ed a month ago and I can get my license on my birthday." I answer his question. "How are you gonna get a car?" He asks another question. "Well my mom has a truck and a car. So anymore questions Mister?" I say sarcastically. "No not yet." Thomas looks at me. Those eyes I love those orbs of caramel. I swear I could eat them.

"Ready?" I say as Thomas opens the door to the lawyer place. "You?" He says. "Of course!" I say cheerfully. "You know you don't have to move right? I can stay with my aunt." He says sadly. "No I want too! My dad shouldn't be like that. He did a whole lot more than just kiss at my age. Besides I know you don't like staying with your aunt. And I won't ever be able to sleep unless I'm in your arms." He hugs me. "Your amazing." "Stop it Thomas we gotta be professional!"

He laughs huskily "It can wait." He says as he nibbles and kisses my neck. Dammit! I don't want him to stop! Ever. "Thomas" I say in a serious voice. "Fine!" Thomas says. "Ah Carrie! Thanks for coming on such short notice! I'm Mr. Candor." The guys says. "Hi Mr. Candor. This is Thomas my boyfriend and this is Captain. My mom's service dog." I say.

"Well we're not supposed to let animals in but since its your mom's and he's a Veteran. We'll make it our secret." Mr. Candor says. "Thank you." I say as he leads us to his office. "So I need you to sign these. Here here and here. I'll give you a minute to read it."
I read it and it basically said it's that I accept responsibility of all my mom's items and lists them. I sign and Thomas said it looks good before I signed. Mr. Candor said "Good now if you could go to your mother's bank and transfer her money to your account. And go to her insurance company to collect the life insurance money. And your mom's funeral is paid for and you get the rest of her years pay then it's your job to bring in the bacon."

"Ok thanks so everything is mine now?" I say a little surprised. "Yep!" Mr. Candor says. Then Thomas butts in "Can we get a copy of that?" "Oh yeah sure! You got a smart one! Most people don't think ahead like that. He's a keeper!" "I know and I'm keeping him!" Then he hands us a copy. We shake hands and paws. And we leave.

As soon as we get outside Thomas says "I'm hungry!" "I'm guessing you want McDonald's? Because it's right across the street?" I say "Yessss!" Thomas punches the air. "We're getting drive through though. Because they don't allow dogs inside." I say "Fine! As long as I get food!" He said.

I sorry! I haven't updated lately. And this one was long but the next should be really long! Should Carrie stay a virgin or not? Please answer it will change the next few chapters hugely.
