I'm sooooo sorry! I haven't updated forever! Well here's my lame excuse, I have been getting ready to go to adventure land (FYI Big water park and theme park thingy) (Iowa people will know!) Oh I hate when authors write their apologies in the beginning. It's really annoying. I like to be annoying!

Carrie Wakes Up In Thomas' Arms:

Who the hell is this? So did that actually happen last night or was I dreaming? I kiss, who I hope is Thomas, arm lightly and Thomas jars awake. "Did that actually happen last night?" He asks. "Yeah I think so." I say. He blinks and nuzzles into my neck. I roll over and snuggle into him. "I still feel safe." I whisper. "Yeah, it feels good to have you back in my arms and not to be shot." He laughs a little. "Thank god its Saturday!" I speak.

Then I see a black vehicle pulls into our driveway and two officers of the Marines walk up and knock on the door. I spring out of the comfort of Thomas' arms and practically fling myself downstairs. Thomas is on my lead. Then I hear them say my mother died in service and that they are very proud. I collapse. Thomas instantly catches me but I sink to the floor. I cry. Then one of the officers say that her dog went rogue and attacks anyone who comes close to him and wanted to see if he reacted any better to any of us.

My dad said alright so we all went outside to see him. And the officer said his name was Captain. So Captain barked and snarled at Amber and my dad, but when he came to me, sat and nudged my hand. The officer handed me the lead and said she's chosen you.

I say, "Thank you, sir." I walk away with the dog by my side. When I get inside, I run to my room, the dog runs ahead of me and waits at my door. Weird he probably just smelled me in it.

I sink onto my bed and Captain looks at me while I'm crying. He looks on my bed then to me at his place on the floor almost asking permission. I say, "It's Ok Captain. You can get up here." He jumps up on my bed and nuzzles my hands away from my face. And kisses my cheek. I just hug him. "You are the only thing left of my mom. I will protect you." Captain put his head on my shoulder and I hugged him as Thomas walked in. "I'm so sorry, Carrie!" Thomas says. "You don't have to be. Both of us knew what could happen." I say sniffling.

Then he hugs me and Captain gets in between us. I say, "Ok, Captain you can't always do that." Then Thomas let's me talk about my mom the good, the bad, and in between. I cried, and laughed. Like the one time I and her went to Wild Cat Den and I caught this huge catfish then we swam in this creek. Then I fell asleep on the way home. Or the time we fought because I wanted to stay at Marissa's house. I ended up crying and cutting.
Then we fell asleep. Thomas holding me and me holding Captain. I didn't cut this time though.
