Rachel

Two weeks ago, Drake and I got an invitation to another Alpha's birthday party. The Luna wanted a big party for him. Drake had called immediately and said we would be going.

I got up early this morning so I could go with Amber to get our nails and hair done before the party. That took most of the day so by the time I dropped Amber off and got home, I had twenty minutes to change into my dress.

My dress was a black high-low dress with a sweet heart neck line and an empire waist. Amber helped me pick it out the other day alone with the silver sparkly shoes that match the empire waist.

While I was putting on my jewelry, Drake came out of the closet with his tie in his hand. He asked "will you help me with my tie." I smiled at him and said "of course." After helping him with his tie he grabbed my hips and pulled me closer for a kiss.

When I heard the front door open, I pulled away and said "come on. you can kiss me later." He smacked my butt on the way down the stairs making me giggle.

Amber was wearing the strapless purple dress that showed off all her curves with the silver heels we got for her. The boys were in their black tuxedos and they looked so handsome.

We drove separately so our dresses wouldn't get ruined. It took about an hour to get there and the whole time I was praying that Keith and our fathers didn't show up.

Drake grabbed my hand as we walked into the alpha's house. Alpha Greg was standing just inside and Drake shook his hand and said "Happy birthday Greg." He smiled and said "thank you Drake." Drake said "Greg this is my mate Rachel, and you know my beta Zayn, and that's his mate Amber." He shook mine and Ambers hands and said "its nice to meet both of you."

There was an open bar and there were tables set up and in the middle was space for people to dance. There were four places up at the front table save for us since Drake is the alpha king. I sat between Drake and Zayn with Amber on the other side of Zayn.

When people saw me holding Drake's hand that was all they could talk about. I hadn't been properly introduce as Drake's mate and it seemed like they were talking about me more than Alpha Greg.

When it came time for dinner, Luna Katherine stood and said "thank you all for coming, especially Alpha Drake and his Luna Rachel, and they're beta Zayn and his mate Amber. It means so much to us that all of you could come and help us celebrate. Dinner is served, you may dig in."

As soon as she was done speaking, someone stood up and screamed "that's my Luna! Not his!" We all looked towards the person and I could feel my face go pale. Standing there looking pissed was Keith and our fathers. Sitting next to them were my siblings.

Everyone was silent for a couple seconds before Drake stood up and said "she's not your mate and never will be." Keith took a step towards us and said "think again. She was in my pack first, I've known her longer, and we made a deal that we would be mates!" This time I stood up and said "no, no we didn't, you were going to force me to mate with you!"

Keith took a couple more steps toward us and Zayn pushed me back with Amber. Keith said "I see you took Amber away from me also."

Keith was about ready to shift when Alec came up behind him and tackled him to the ground. Alec looked at me and yelled "run Rachel!"

Amber grabbed my hand and started to drag me along with her. I saw Keith throw Alec off his back and Camryn grab him. Luna Katherine led us four to Greg's office. She said "stay in here. We'll come get you when everything is over."

After she left Alec grabbed my shoulders and asked "are you okay? Are you hurt?" I shook my head and hugged him. I started crying and I said "it's so nice to see you guys."

Almost an hour later, the door burst open to reveal my mate in a pair of shorts. He ran up to me and hugged me. He stepped away for awhile looking for any injuries. Once he realized I wasn't hurt he smiled and said "let's go home." I nodded with tears in my eyes.

Drake

By the time we got home Rachel was asleep. I carried her up to our room and laid her down on the bed before going to talk to Zayn. He was waiting in my office with Alec and Camryn.

I sat at my desk and looked at the two. I said "I'm sorry for the trouble tonight." Alec shrugged and said "its fine. I'm just glad the girls got out without a scratch and besides, I've been waiting to leave that pack. All you ever hear anymore is him bitching about how Rachel isn't there." I chuckled and said "well you can have a permanent home here if you'd like." Camryn smiled and said "we would love that."

Rachel

I woke up in my dress. Before I could fall asleep in it again I went to the bathroom and let my hair down. Afterwards I went to the closet and took of my dress.

I put on a pair of my shorts and went to reach for a tank top when a pair of arms wrapped around me. I knew it was Drake when he moved my hair to one side and kissed my shoulder. He asked "are you okay?" I nodded my head and grabbed a tank top. I asked "can you unhook this."

While he was trying to unhook my bra he said "you were defiantly the bell of the ball tonight. Everyone was talking about you." I sighed and said "yeah and fighting over me."

After my tank top was on he turned me around and bent down to my height and said "he's not going to get you Rachel. I won't let him. You're mine."

I started crying into Drake's chest while he held me. After awhile he stripped down to just his boxers and we went to bed. Before I fell asleep I heard him whisper "I love you Rachel. I'd die before I let him have you."
