I woke up just as I heard the school bus drive by.

"Darn it, not again!" I screamed and jumped out of bed, knocking over my alarm clock, which had failed to do it's job properly. It has one job, how can it fail to do the one job it has? Quickly I ran to the wardrobe and put on a flowery sleeveless blouse, a pink skirt that stopped mid-thigh with a lace hem, a pair of white flats and a demin jacket. I took a glance into the full-length mirror and decided that I also needed some jewelry, so I threw on a pair of gold hoops and a bunch of gold bracelets. Luckily I had showered last night before I went to bed so I just ran a brush through my brown curls and let them hang free. Once I decided that I looked okay, I ran down the stairs, grabbed my dad's car keys from the counter and shouted a goodbye which none answered. The only one home was my goldfish and she never did a lot of talking.

My dad's car was practically mine, I was always the one who used it. It was more of a girl car anyways, the convertible VW Beetlebug in mint green. I think the idea was that my sister should have gotten it for her sweet sixteen, but she didn't get her drivers permit, so here I am, driving it to school. The school is not that far away, but I liked driving more than walking, and it would get me there faster.

I glanced at the time and saw that I had a good twenty minutes before homeroom so I stopped outside Starbucks to get my coffee. This girl needs her triple vanilla non-fat latte with caramel foam every morning to function!

As I walked into the coffee shop I saw that a tall boy with dark brown curly hair was the only one in line and hoped that he'll be quick so I can get my order fast. My body started to beg for caffeine.

"Welcome to Starbucks, can I take your order?" The barista asked the boy before me. His voice is very low and slow in a British accent.

"Yeah, um, can I have, a, um, five peppermint teas, please?" I roll my eyes, who drinks tea at Starbucks? And five of them? This is gonna take forever! He turns around and I gasp. He's gorgeous! "Oh, um, I'm sorry. Are you in a hurry?" I can't talk because he's so cute so I just nod and a dimple appears in his cheek as he smiles and turns to the barista again. "Take her order first. I can wait."

I stutter a weak thank you to the gorgeous British boy, who seems somewhat familiar, before telling the barista my order. It really isn't necessary, she knows me by now, seeing me every morning here the last three years. she just chuckles and says "The usual then?" When I've said what I want. I chuckle too and nod. Can't beat a classic.

"Wow, that's a really complicated order." The British boy says and I roll my eyes. It isn't really that complicated, but what do British people know about coffee anyways? All they care about is tea. I look at him and I can't for the life of me try and recall where I've seen him before.

"Well, I like it. And I've had the same one for years." He nods and smiles. He is really cute when he does that.

"Maybe you could make me try one some time?" OMG I'm hyperventilating. Is he asking me out?

"I - I - Y-y-yeah. Why not?" I stutter, red in my face from embarrassment.

"Great! Give me your phone and I'll put my number in." I dig through my bag for my iPhone and hand it over to him. "Come here." He says and pulls me into a one-armed embrace, smiling at the phone. He smells really nice and I blush even more at the closeness. He lets me go after the flash has gone off and types his number in.

"What did you save it under?" I ask. I want to know what his name is. He winks at me.

"You'll see. I sent a text to my phone so I have your number too. What's you name?"

"E-E-Elsa." I stutter and he smiles, the smile reaching his beautiful emerald eyes.

"That's a nice name." He types it into his phone.

"Th-thanks."

"Your order is done, Elsa." The barista says and I pay her before she goes off to start on the British boy's five teas. I open the lid and smell the sweet drink. Mmmm, can never go wrong with a triple vanilla non-fat latte with caramel foam.

"Weren't you in a hurry?" The boy chuckled and I look at the time.

"Shoot!" School starts in three minutes. "I've got to go. Sorry!"

"Don't forget to text me!" The boy chuckles as I run out to the car and drive off to school. I'll be late, but at least I have a good excuse. I met a really nice boy who wants to go out with me!
