A Friendship not forgotten

 @philippaki and I have not forgotten this, and so a friendship for two children returns

Darkmoon, was doing a rather silly dance on Goth's desk.

It was adorable and distracting, fully pulling the child away from his summer reading. he was rather enjoying the book Mr Sci had suggested.

"Chirp.." Sunny said, there beak preening at Goth's white wings.

"I do preen those myself, you know," Goth said amused, the avian just chirped and adjusted there position to get to another feather.

He jumped a bit, startling his pets as his cellphone starting playing a cheerful beat as a text came in. he had thought he'd turned the text sounds off.

"Sorry," he told the bird, Sunny went back to preening as Darkmoon flew to there feed dish.

Curious he logged onto his phone, he only had a few contacts. Dad, Mister Blue, Mr. Sci for Medical reasons, and a few contacts for other places.

He stared in shock at the text, a 'I lost my old phone/number' text, and a request for his adults number so Karma could come play.

"Daaaaaaad!" he called rushing out the room, typing in his dads number as he did.
Karma, Karma was coming to visit!

While Karma had initially been excited to visit Goth his enthusiasm shifted to nervousness when they actually arrived, clutching tightly onto dad's hand as the portal behind them closed.

He had missed his friend, truly enjoying their company but considering he had been with him last time, the good times were a bit marred.

"C'mon, Karma. Why don't you show me your friends place. I bet they'd love the cookies Hearth gave you.~" Oneiro gently encouraged the babybones when they started to withdraw, of course Sol perked up and likely sniffing for any food nearby.

"Cookies? make sure Sunny and Darkmoon don't have any. My pet birds are fiends for them," Goth said brightening, and took Karma's hand and pulled him towards his room.

"Come on, we can have coffee in the kitchen... As i have a feeling you have quite a story to tell" Alter said, wanting to know why Oneiro was different from this Oneiro.

Oneiro was relieved that the local Sans had a very open mind, his coffee long going cold as he gave a rough outline on what exactly happened during 'his' last visit. It was a mentally exhausting talk, Alter looking sick at times when he got to certain parts but at least they were willing to hear him out.

"The monster in question has long since dealt with, so no need to worry but Karma is of course a bit sensitive about the topic. Please direct any questions you have about it towards me.~" He sighed, making a face at his stone cold coffee but the laughter from the children upstairs helped keep the atmosphere from getting too depressing.

"I'm just glad everything worked out alright, hopefully this friend of yours.. Hearth.. can bring time into synch so they can visit more often. Yet, it does explain why poor timekid collapsed in that timezone," Alter said frowning, he got up and poured fresh coffee for both of them.

"I trust they will be able to in the end, even if it takes a while. Karma still goes on about Goth. One of their first friends their age.~" Oneiro smiled fondly and gratefully accepted a steaming mug of coffee.

He loved his child but some of their past 'friends' sometimes drove him to stress out, Goth a breath of fresh air in contrast.

"I'm glad, Gothy needs more friends he can touch and hug. We try, but there is always something between us," Alter said a bit sadly.

"It is a tough challenge to deal with but Goth looks like a happy child. I'm sure they appreciate how far you are going for them.~" Oneiro gently reassured Alter, the emotions coming off Goth rather bright and clear they were a well cared for child.

He couldn't imagine not being able to touch Karma so easily, lucky in the regard that his child had learnt to control their magic so they could interact with the world even if he would never thank any of their 'teachers' apart from with a fist to their face.

Perhaps he could ask Hearth for anything that might be able to help Goth be able to interact with others safely, His co-parent so very handy with inventions.
