He brought me to a small coffee shop, I could tell he was a bit annoyed, so I stayed quiet like usual and barley said a word.

I sat down and stared out the window because he hadn't said a word, I imagined I was back at my house on the beach breathing in the fresh air. My hair blowing freely and the sweet smell of the ocean overwhelming me along with the heat on my skin as the sun shines down on me. My feet on the s-

"So, what do you do in your spare time?" He asked out of nowhere and I jumped slightly. "W-Write and s-surf.." I stuttered.

"So your an author too?" He asked as they gave us the coffee we ordered, I nodded shyly and took a drink. "Hey." He whispered and leaned forward, I raised my eyebrows while I took another drink in response. "I don't want things to be weird, you seem interesting, so instead of thinking of me as some creepy guy you have to kiss, think of me as Jake, your friend." He said and I smiled. "Sounds great Jake." I said and put the stray hair in my face behind my face while laughing softly at his earlier statement.

--

We talked for hours and to be honest I really liked him, a lot, but I had a boyfriend and I was stuck with him for now. Notice I said 'stuck'. I honestly had no choice but to be with him.

Me and Michael were previously living on the streets until Clark heard about that and saved us. I would lose the beach, recourses that I require to live, and the comfort of having a roof over my head. Until I had enough money, I couldn't leave.

When me and Jake walked out of the coffee shop unexpected Clark was standing outside.

"Hello." Jake said and held out his hand to shake Clarks. He just glared at Jake and grabbed me by the arm, my eyes widened and I looked at him with fear and confusion.

"We're going home." He muttered and I looked back at Jake. He looked pretty freaked out too.

"Umm ok, bye Jake." I said weakly as I got dragged away, Jake just stared at me being pulled away with shock.

--

He let my arm go when we were out of Jakes sight and wrapped his arms around me. My heart was beating so fast, I thought he was going to kick me out and I would have to go live under the awning of a restaurant with Michael again.

I relaxed and buried my face in his chest. "I'm sorry, I know I scared you." He said and I could tell he was sincere so I nodded. "That's ok." I mumbled and he let me go.

A car pulled up and we got in. I was still a bit upset so I stared out the window trying to figure out why he did that.

I bet he was just a little rattled that I was with another guy, but why would he be? I was just hanging out with him. I thought and shrugged settling my mind and stomach with the thought of the beach.

When we arrived home I rushed inside and upstairs, I changed into my swimsuit and grabbed my surfboard. As I was running outside avoiding all conversation I was stopped by Clark.

"Hey, can we talk?" He asked and I nodded as I propped my surf board up against the wall. "About earlier.." He trailed off and I looked down.

"Yeah, earlier." I mumbled and he walked closer to me and placed his hand where he had grabbed me. There was a small bruise and I could tell in his eyes he honestly was sorry and felt so bad.

"You're..you're just so young.." He said softly and I looked up at him with my dark blue hazel eyes sparkling. "People will take advantage of you, they know your too young to understand there's no such thing as a Prince Charming."

"But there is." I said and stared into his eyes. I felt that spark again and blushed. "It's you."

He smiled slightly and leaned in and kissed me. "But that's not true, we all have our flaws." He said as he took a step back. "I don't mean to sound strict, but I don't want you to be with that boy unless your on set."

My heart dropped. I had to hide it though. "Ok. Fine." I said with a fake smile as I grabbed my surf board and began walking outside. "I love you." He said and I stopped. "I-I love you too." I said and ran outside.
