Mark drove me home from the emergency room with my arm wrapped in a bandage and sling and a few bruises on my face.
"Hey, uh, Mark, thanks for, uh, driving me home and paying for the hospital bill." I mumbled.
"Hey, it's the least I could do after I, well, hit you with a car," he said, slightly smiling. "maybe tomorrow we can get some coffee or something!"
I froze. Me? Get coffee with Markiplier?
"Really?" I exclaimed. "I mean I guess, there's a Starbucks right by my work so we-"
"Oh, where do you work?" Mark asked.
"Oh, uh..well I love to cook and I want to have my own restaurant one day..but right now I work as a waitress at Lou Arallies Pizza."
"I guess I'll see you at Starbucks tomorrow." Mark winked.
"Yeah, uh, sure. See you there when I get off work, how about 4?" I said as I got out of the car.
"Sounds great. See you there!" Mark said. He closed my door and sped off.
I walked up to my front door in awe of my entire day.
My mom screamed.
"Toni what happened to you?!" she ran over and started to cry.
"Mom, Mom I'm fine! I promise! I just.. I fell and this err..some guy drove me to the hospital and payed for everything. I broke my arm but they said it would heal in a few weeks."
"Oh I'm so glad you're okay!" she said and stared to embrace me.
"Ouch Mom."
"Ah sorry, sorry,"she backed away and dried her tears. "but hey, I got your text about the job as a waitress." she said 'waitress' in a sarcastic tone. "Are you sure that's wha-"
"Hey, who the hell is this?" a man suddenly came out of the bathroom. I froze.
"Oh, Sam, this is my daughter Antonia," she said blushing. "Toni, this is Sam. We've been dating for 2 months now, and I thought this we be a good time to break the news." I took a step back. I didn't like him. I had a bad feeling in my stomach.
"Uh, hi," I said flatly. I turned to my mom. "I'm gonna go to bed, I've had a long day." I walked up to my room and out of the corner of my eye I saw Sam scowling at me. I laid down on my bed and dreamed of tomorrow.
