Song of death
For death I plea
Send death's sweet kiss down to me
Dead and gone in your warm embrace
Peaceful look on my face
Cold to touch
Chilled to bone
Forlorn, you continue home
Nowhere to be seen
They ask you about me
"Gone"
The simple word slips through your lips
"Oh..."
The small sound invites the silence
Cold
Dark
The absence of one
Makes the largest difference
An extra bed
With no one to fill it
One's voice gone from this place
At the table an empty space
In the yard a little grave
Just a stone
Nothing more
Shows everything I loved you for
