Alexa's POV:

Its been three days since i've heard from Cara. I genuinely think this is the most on edge i've ever been in my fucking life. The last time I talked to her was over text, and it was her stating that she couldn't figure out what to pack. I laughed it off at the time, but I now realize I shouldve texted back with something, with anything.

It was currently Wednesday, three days before Me, Cara, Mia, and Ethan all leave for UMiami. For her to just disappear like this out of nowhere, with no warning or reason why, and not communicating with any of us, is definitely not like her. Which is why I need to go find her.

I swiftyly grabbed the car keys, quickly running out of the house before my dad found out. I started up the car, not evem waiting a second before pulling out of the driveway and onto the main road.

I grabbed my phone, quickly dialing two numbers, who I knew would pick up.

The phone rung two times, before Mia joined the call, with Ethan joining right after.

"Hey Alexa, whats up?" Ethan asks, his voice echoing through the speaker of my phone. I set my phone up on the console, before putting two hands on the wheel once again.

"Hey, uhm are either of you home right now?" I ask, my heart beating rapidly in my chest, as I took a quick turn right, as I merged onto the busy highway.

"Uhh yeah, I home." Mia states, as her high-pitched voice comes out of the speaker.

"Yeah, I am too." Ethan chimes in, before stuffing his hand into a bag of red Doritios, easily stuffing his face with three of the chips at once.

"Can we meet up? I dont really care where. Its really important though." I state, my free foot tapping against the ground of the car, as I pulled into a separate neighborhood.

"Yeah for sure, you guys can come over to my house." Mia says, calming down a part of me as we await Ethan's answer.

"Yeah I'm down, ill be there in 5." He states. The jingling of keys was heard in the background, along with the sound of a door shutting.

"Okay, I'll be there in like 5 minutes. See you guys." I say, almost whispering the last part. I quickly grab the phone from the console with my right hand, ending the call without waiting for a response. I quietly kept my sigh on the road, maneuvering through the tight traffic as I pulled into Mia's neighborhood.

After just a few moments and a couple left turns, I was swiftly pulling into her driveway. I stumbleed out of the car, not even bothering to lock it, considering this was private property. I walked up to the familiar porch, knocking two times of the door, indicating I was there.

After a few moments the door slowly flung open.

"Hey, whats up?" Ethan asks, stuffing his face with more of the familiar orange chips from earlier.

"Did you bring those with you?" I ask, referring to the red bag of chips. I stepped into the house, as Ethan closed the door behind us.

"Nah, Mia just knows to have them stocked up here for me." He says, as we both make our way towards the living room. Well, one of them.

"Hey Alexa, hows it going?" Mia asks, getting up from the couch. She walks over to me, giving me a brief hug, which I didnt hesitate to recipricate. After a few seconds, she pulled away, as her and Ethan walked back towards the couch. I quickly followed them, sitting on end of the couch adjacent to them.

"Im fine, I actually came here to talk to you guys about something really important." I say, feeling myself already fill with anxiousness all over again.

"Of course, what happened?" Mia asks, her brows furrowing as she awaits my response.

"Its actually about Cara." I state, and as soon as I spoke up, I saw how Ethan's ears perked up at her name. He immediately sat the bag of chips down, wiping his hands clean as he faced his attention towards me.

"What happened to her?" He speaks up, suddenly chiming in to the conversation.

"Thats the thing, I don't know. I haven't talked to her in three days, I was actually coming to see if you guys know anything?" I ask the two teenagers.

"Actually, no, I havent heard anything from her." Mia states, quyickly grabbing her phone and unlocking it, immediately clicking through her messages.

"No, I havent seen her since Friday, when we were all at the club together." Ethan chimes in, causing me to furrow my brows in thought.

"Yeah, I havent seen her since that night too. On Saturday I texted her to hangout, but she told me she was too busy that day. What about you Alexa?" Mia asks me.

"I was with her all day Saturday, I havcent seen her since Sunday morning when I brought her home. The last thing she mentioned to me was how she didn't know what to pack." I say, my voice becoming quiet as more anxiety rolled through my body.

"Well, have you checked her house?" Ethan asks me, causing me to furrow my brows in thought.

"Actually, no, I havent." I speak up.

"Dude, thats the problem! Your girlfriend has been missing for three days, and you havent evem checked her house!" Mia says, causing a very light chuckle to escape my throat.

"Well, since I need to check her house, do you guys want to come with me?" I ask the two of them.

"Yeah, of course." Mia states, causing Ethan to nod his head in agreement with Mia. He quickly grabs his bag of chips fron the couch, while Mia grabs her phone and car keys.

"Here, we can take my car." She says, tossing the keys to me as we left the house, Mia shutting the door behind her.

Once we were all piled into Mia's familiar Lexus, I started the engine and pulled onto the main roads

------------------

We shut the car doors behind us, causing me to lock it as we approached Cara's house once again. I knocked on the door three times, waiting a few moments for the door to open.

I wish that she would open the door, her pretty face igniting my own smile. That she would reassure me that her phone just broke, and she hasn't had the time to get a new one.

I knocked once again, waiting a couple more seconds for the door to fling open. Yet, no response, so we let ourselves in.

The house was quiet, the only noise being heard was Ethan shutting the front door behind him.

"You guys check down here, Ill do upstairs." I state, causing the two teens to nod at me in response. I swiftly ran up the stairs, first heading to her bedroom. Her dim lights were on, and her room seemed normal, except the fact that she wasn't there. A suitcase laid on the floor, being half opened. I suddenly left her room, before checking the room slightly to the left of hers.

In the room laid an empty hospital bed, which I only remember seeing Cara's dad in. Was he supposed to get out? Is he better?

The questions pushed through my mind, as more nervousness flowed through my veins as I check every room, with no sight of my girl in any of them. I hurriedly ran downstairs, seeing the two teens seated on the couch, her couch.

"Guys, her dad is gone."
