Dean sat at the table in the food court of his local mall and sipped on the last of his soda while watching his friend Charlie walk back over to their table with a corndog. She sat down and looked him in the eyes while taking a bite of the heated dog on a stick. "So, did you talk to him yet?" She asked with a mouth full of food, referring to the cute guy Dean's been trying to talk to for twenty minutes. Dean shook his head and continued to stare at Benny Lafitte who stood with the rest of the baseball team outside the photo booth. He sighed and turned back to Charlie. "What do I do?" He asked with misery in his eyes. Charlie smirked and swallowed the remaining food in her mouth. "Flirt with him you idiot!" She exclaimed, throwing up her arms. Dean looked down at his cheeseburger. "You've flirted with a ton of people before why is it so hard to flirt with him?" She added. Dean looked at her with a hopeless expression. "Well, I never really liked those people, I really just did it to do it. Lisa Braeden for example, I got bored at a party and she seemed drunk and desperate enough so I went for it and it happened," he said, shoving a french fry in his mouth. Charlie rolled her eyes and took another bite of her corndog. "Try flirting with that kid over there," she pointed to a small boy reading at a table a couple feet away from them. "It'll help you with Benny." Dean stood up and mumbled out a quiet 'fine' before walking over and leaning on the boy's table.

The boy never looked up, even after thirty seconds of Dean staring at him. Dean panicked and looked over to Charlie for help. She mouthed the words 'talk to him' and Dean dropped his shoulders in defeat, but he spun around to face the boy anyway. Well, face wouldn't exactly be a good word to use. The boy still didn't acknowledge him. So, Dean said the first words that popped into mind to try to gain his attention. "Hey, I'm Dean." Dean smiled and tried to act flirty. The boy answered, 'Castiel', without looking up at him. Dean huffed in annoyance and sat across from him. "Hello, you know there's someone trying to talk to you." He barked, waving his hands in front of the book Castiel was reading. He finally put down his book and looked at Dean. "Sorry, I get too consumed in those. What were you saying?" Dean smirked and was about to say some flirty comment but his brain went completely blank when he looked into Castiel's vivid, blue eyes. "I..uh..," he began, but he couldn't seem to get out anything else. Castiel just rolled his eyes. "Well, if you have nothing to say I suggest you leave because I have a book to get back to." Castiel stated matter-of-factly, picking the book back up and continuing where he left off. Dean sat up and walked back to sit across from Charlie who was finishing up her corndog.

"Ugh," he groaned, continuously hitting his head off the table. "What happened?" Charlie asked, chuckling a little bit. Dean lifted his head to look at her and she immediately concealed her smile when she saw Dean's defeated expression. "His eyes are so blue." He breathed out, resting his head on his arms. Charlie flashed a confused expression and looked over to Castiel. "I don't understand, why is that bad?" She inquired, tilting her head slightly. Dean lifted his head to look at her. "When he looked at me I looked into his eyes and I forgot how to speak..." Charlie smiled and chuckled and didn't stop even when Dean glared at her. "Dude, how many crushes do you have?" She exclaimed with a wide grin. "None!" Dean replied, shouting a little too loud and causing some heads to turn. Charlie raised an eyebrow. "Not even Benny? The guy you wouldn't shut up about for a week?" Now it was Dean's turn to raise an eyebrow. "Who? Oh, yeah, Benny." Charlie chuckled again. "Please go back over and talk to that boy before I push you." Before Dean could argue she had grabbed his arm and dragged him back over to Castiel

"Hey, Cas." Charlie said when they got over to his table. He looked up and smiled, then rested his book back on the table. "Hey, Charlie. You guys okay?" Dean's jaw dropped and his eyes grew wide. He wondered how Charlie knew the strange blue-eyed boy. "You guys know eachother?" Dean asked, flicking his eyes to Cas and Charlie repeatedly. Charlie nodded. "Yes, he was in a summer camp I took a couple years ago and we stayed in contact ever since. He goes to that religious school down the block from Lawrence High." Dean was completely dumbstruck. Cas chuckled at Dean's shocked expression. Charlie punched him in the arm. "Ow! What was that for?" Dean asked, rubbing his arm. "Would you stop staring and talk to the boy?" Charlie shouted, throwing up her arms. Cas smiled at Dean as he sat down. He looked over to see Benny leaving the mall, but for some reason, he didn't care. Charlie said something Dean didn't hear before walking back to their seat. He looked at Castiel in his perfect, blue eyes that reminded him of the ocean on a hot, summer day. "Hi-I..uh..I like your eyes." Dean said wearily. A blush tinged Cas' cheeks as a smile grew on his lips. "Thank you, I like yours, too."

Charlie watched from afar at the two dorks and chuckled at how awkward they are. "Hey, did it work?" Asked a familiar voice behind her. She turned around to see her girlfriend, Dorothy. "Yep, they can't stop talking to each other. Didn't I tell you Dean would like Cas if he met him?" Dorothy leaned down to peck Charlie on the lips once before sitting in Dean's seat. "You did, babe. And here is your twenty bucks." Dorothy replied as she handed Charlie a twenty dollar bill.
