Chapter Six - Getting to know you

Narcissa's POV

The next day at dinner time

(location- grand hall Slytherin table)

I never thought that i would enjoy the company of a man, especially not Lucuis Malfoy. I dont want to sound cheesey, but he kind of completes me. I could tell that he felt the same, because he always has a sweet wierd looks in his eyes whenever he catches a glance of me at the table. i was suddenly interupted from my daydream,

"Narcissa, you have been acting very wierd lately" McNair said from across the table

"oh sorry, i dont quite understand what you mean?", but i knew exactly what he meant

"well...you havnt been as focused and evily brilliant today as you usually are" he exclaimed

"oh.. i didnt realise, i just have been a bit distracted latley, you know....family...stuff"

"i understand, i was just a bit concerned with your behaviour".

i left the table as soon as i could after dinner had ended, lilly and remus waved at me as i ran passed them, i was too distracted to notice.   Lucius saw that i was hasty to get to my dormatry, so he ran after me

"Hey, hey!" he shouted

"we cant talk know Lucius, people might see,"

"no they want," he said whilst pulling me through the nearest door he could find, it was Pr Slughorns potion room

"tell me what is bothering you?"

"my parents know that you are on the team,.....and they hate me for it "

"have they threatened you?"

"Well obviously they have, otherwise i would not be so stressed out !" i shouted

"sorry for shouting" i said immediatly after

"dont worry narcissa, we can sort this out"

"how?"

"well...."

"exactly, there is no how. there is only a when"

"when..?"

"yeh, when they will decide to kill me!", a small smile grew across his face,

"whats so funny?" i hist

"you, obviously", suddenly Pr Slughorn came plodding in the room still with his fork in his hand from dinner,

"what the bloody hell are you two doing here?" he said in surprise

"oh sorry professor, "

"its no problem, you just gave me a shock thats all. Was there something you wanted?"

"no sir, i was just looking for my text book which i left here this morning, and i bumped into Mr Malfoy  as i entered the room."

"oh well have you found the book?"

"yes sir"

"good.",

as lucius and I went to leave the room Slughorn grabbed my arm,

"Narcissa, were you talking to Mr Malfoy?" he said suspiciously

"no sir" i replied

"well good becasue i do not want you getting hurt, by .. well you know who i mean, dont you narcissa"

"yes sir, i do,  "

"yes i am sure you  will know what will happen if you don't be careful, so make sure no body saw you two together"

"yes sir, thankyou"

"well sleep well dear"

"you too sir", as i exited the class room Lucius was waiting for me outside,

"what did he say to you?"

"nothing really, he was just talking about his upcomming dinner party for selective students", i hated lieing to him, but it was the only option

"we can talk later lucius, it really isnt wise for us to be talking at all during school, my parents have spies everywhere, even some paintings have been ordered to spy on the family by my father"

"yes, your right, when can we see each other next?" he asked

"um, im not sure, send me a message , that way no body will notice that we are talking"

"great" he gave me a quick peck on the cheek, and we both walked in different directions, so we didnt look suspicious. Ob-vios-ly.
