"Let's go!" we all giggled.

Emilie's driving.

We scream and gossip all the way to the mall.

I kinda wish Tay was here. But I'm gonna have fun today, 'cause even bestfriends need a break every now and then. Don't they?

"So! I hear you and Garr-Garr are going to be crowned king and queen of prom!" squealed Emilie.

"That's what everyone is saying, I guess. And it's Garrett, not Garr-Garr," I tease.

We all laugh.

"What about you Celia, you seem to be really kicking it off with that James of yours!" I joke.

Celia blushes.

"Ha. Ha. Ha. He's the one who was begging me to ask him to go," Celia cringed, slightly ticked off.

"Ha!" Emile teased, "You said He's the one!"

Emilie and I crack up laughing.

We arrive at the mall red in the face from laughing. And celia's still a bit mad at us for bringing up James.

We walk from store to store, with Emilie practically falling in love with everything she can see. She finally settles for a cream coloured two-piece, and I must say, it's quite stunning.

We walk around more, with Emilie suggesting every single piece of clothing for me and Celia to wear.

Celia finds a turquoise coloured two-piece, high collared and sleeve-less.

Honestly, they both are gonna look stunning. And you can see they're besties, they're both wearing two-pieces. Sometimes, I wish me and Tay could be like that.

Now the hard part.

My turn.

"Come on Kacy!" they both whine.

"We thought that you'd have picked a dress first, if not two!" Emilie giggles.

"Yeah, you look like you put alot of effort into your appearance everyday for school," Celia adds.

"I know, but, prom is different." I whine.

"We understand," assured Emilie.

"That's why we're here to help!" Celia cheers

Wow, I thought, I wish Tay could be as supportive as that. Like, I suppose in school she would say something like that, but if she were here with me today, I think she wouldn't even care if I decided to go naked.

I look around.

Come on Kacy Waters, FIND A DRESS.

Suddenly, a piece of baby pink silk flashes by in the corner of my eye.

I turn around.

OMG.

OMG.

OMG.

It's perfect.

A baby pink strap-less dress, with silver gems along the top, and streaks of a slightly darker almost magenta colour showing through the dress.

It's amazing.

I didn't even look at the price tag, I needed that dress.

It's amazing.

We cheer and celebrate with a frappe from Starbucks.

Mmmm.......

Caramel frappe.......

Next up, SHOES.

This time, I take the lead. Because there's a pair of beauties staring right at me within minutes.

They're a light pink pair of heels, identical to my dress, and small sequins glittering and sparkling all along the heel and rim of the shoe.

OMG they are perfect.

Then, the lady from the store who is currently messily eating a choclate bar says they only have a size three, three and a half and a six. No fives.

Then she scratches off a bit of chocolate from the shoe and says, "Oh wait, this is a five."

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Later on, after Emilie and Celia find their 'true-love' shoes, they head home.

They ask me if I want a ride, but I said I'll be fine walking.

I look around to see if there's no-one around from school.

Thank God. There isn't.

I skip my way into W.H.Smith.

It's getting really late, but I need to buy them.

I buy three books on math, two books on English grammar and three books on Art.

As I collect my change I think to myself, that should do me for another week.

Another week of living a lie.
