"Hey Tay," I smile.

We line up in the cafeteria with our lunch trays.

"I seen you yesturday, with Garrett," she smirked.

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh come on, that was yesterday's news," I moan.

"Yesterday's news?," she raises her eyebrows.

"Girl," she drawls,"Garrett's whole kneel-down-scene is the hot topic of the week!" she screamed.

Yay. That's just great. Oh, I'm sooo gonna kill them newsletter editors. Don't they have a clue about personal space?

Today's hot lunch is.....

Spaghetti and meat sauce.

Yeah, it doesn't have enough meat in the sauce to be officially called "Spaghetti Bolognese".

So I pass on lunch.

We sit down.

"What about your prom dress?" I ask Tay.

"Oh, yeah, I bought that last year," she said with a sigh.

"You, bought your prom dress, last year?" I ask.

"Hey, it's called being prepared," she tells me.

Oh Tay.

I text Garrett to ask him where is he.

He doesn't reply.

In the afternoon, I have math with Mrs Davis, then history again with Mr Matthew. I think it's science after that with Ms Ferdinand.
I've got a long day ahead.

During math, Garrett texts me.

'Come outside. And fix your hair and look good.'

What?

I'm in the middle of math and he wants me to meet him outside? I text him back, telling him that I'm in the middle of class. Cheek of him to tell me to fix my hair and look good. Who does he think I am? But he texts me again.

'Please!'

I put my hand up.

"Eh, Mrs Davis?" I ask uncertain.

"Yes Ms Waters," she replies, tilting her head down so that she can see over the top of her glasses.

"May I be excused? Please," I say.

"If you must, but be back quick," she said sharpish. She's not the type you should mess with. Whatever Garrett wants me for, it better be important.

As I'm walking towards the door, I can fell people's eyes staring through my back.

"Ooh look, Little-Ms-Popular has to leave because the math hurts her tiny brain," someone whispers, loud enough for me to hear.

Is that what they think of me?

They think I'm stupid?

I walk down the hall, out into the yard.

I look around to see Garrett walking towards me.
