Alyssa's POV
Shawn just left. Like literally just walked away and took his car. Now im stuck here. Great. Thanks. Uhg. Now what. Ooh. I heard gilinsky say that they were going back to the hotel until later. Ill just call matt. I picked his contact and called him.
"Hello" he said in a weird voice
"Hey" i said
"Heyy whats up?" He asked
"Are you at the hotel right now" i said
"Yeah"
"Can you come pick me up? Shawn ditched me" i said
"Yeah where are you?" He asked. I told him where i was and he said he would be right here. I sat at a bench holding my dog as i waited. He got here and i got in the car. I buckled in and matt looked at me.
"Cute dog" he said
"Thank youuu" i said. He laughed and we started driving.
"So why'd he ditch you" matt asked
"I had to explain how i know you and the guys and stuff and he saw you kiss me at the pizza place and he thought that like it was stupid how we were kissing and we only met each other yesterday and like i don't know he just got mad and left" i said
"Oh" matt said
"Well did he say anything after that" he asked
"He said that he didnt want me getting hurt again? Im confused though i dont know what he meant" i said
"Well did someone hurt you" he asked
"No. I dont think so..no" i said
"I dont know then. I think he was probably just paranoid" matt said. I nodded and we drove back to my house.
"You wanna come in for a bit?" I asked
"Isnt your aunt home" he said
"No. Shes never home" i said.
"Ok" he said. We walked in and i sat on the counter in the kitchen. He stood next to me and i had an idea.
"I know. Lets go down to shawns house and talk to him. His parents aren't home so we can just go. You can be my support" i said
"Are you sure" he asked
"Yes" i said. I ran upstairs and grabbed 2 penny boards. I brought them downstairs and handed one to matt.
"Lets go" i said. Matt looked at me and shook his head. I grabbed my key and put it in my pocket. We walked out and started riding. Once we got to shawns house, i put my penny board against the side of his house and matt followed. We walked up to shawns door and matt put his hands on my shoulders. I knocked on the door, nervous to see what would happen. I heard someone walking and i looked up at matt. He gave me a reassuring smile as shawn opened the door. He looked at us and shut the door.
"Come on shawn. Just let me talk to you!" I yelled
"Why" he said
"Because. Your not understanding" i said
"What do i need to understand" he said as he opened the door again. I walked in and sat on his couch. Matt followed.
"I never said you could sit" shawn said to matt. Matt stood up and i just pulled him back down.
"Shawn why are you acting like this" i said
"Like what" shawn said as he sat in a recliner in front of us.
"Like all over-protective" i said
"Im not"
"Yeah you are" i said
"Okay and" he said
"And you just mad for no reason" i said
"No. I had a perfect reason" he said
"What was it"
"I dont want you getting hurt again" he said
"Again?" I asked
"Yes again. You dont remember?" He asked. I shook my head. Matt grabbed my hand and i squeezed it.
"Gavin" he said. What?
"You really dont remember do you" shawn said
"No" i said
"Gavin. Six flags..nothing?" Shawn said. Oh shit. I know what hes talking about.
"Shawn" i said
"Yeah"
"I remember. Not a lot but I still remember" I said
"Who's Gavin?" Matt asked
"I don't really remember the whole story." I said.
"Are you ready to tell him right now? Because if you are, i can tell him for you since you dont remember much" shawn said
"Yeah. Tell him. I already told him about my brother. I think it'll be okay." I said
Shawn nodded and started telling matt the story.
"So when alyssa was about 15 she was dating this guy named gavin. After a while, he started getting really rude and he started to abuse her. She broke up with him about 2 days after" shawn said. Shit. Matt grabbed my hand and held it. I looked at him then back at shawn.
"She really liked him. Maybe even loved him. And he just hurt her. Physically and emotionally. After she broke up with him, he told her all these things. Like he never liked her anyway, or that shes not pretty enough for him, or for anyone. She was really hurt. About a week later, he came to her house. She wouldnt let him in and she was all alone. He picked the lock and hit her on the top of her head with a bat" shawn said. I hate this part. I put my head on matts chest as he put his arm around me, pulling me closer to him. I wrapped my arm around his torso as shawn continued.
"She fainted and he put duct tape on her mouth. He out her in the back of his car and drove her to six flags. She woke up about 3 quarters of the way there. He was stupid enough not to think about tying her hands so she just took the tape off of her mouth. She asked him where they were going. He wouldnt tell her. He drove into the back of the park. He picked her up and brought her into this like path type thing. He put her in the middle of it and just hit her. Punched her, kicked her, everything. He hurt her to the point where she couldnt walk. He eventually left and since he was really stupid, she still had her phone. She called me and i picked her up. We went to the hospital and found out that her leg and wrist was broken. She didnt remember much that happened because she had a concussion. I stayed with her at her house until she was better. That all happened 2 years ago. 3 months ago, i went to california to film a movie. Im an actor. She started to tell me things about you and how you made her happy. You made her forget about everything. She told me how whenever she was feeling sad or scared, she would think about you. I was always the one who helped her. But you helped her when i was gone. Thanks" shawn said. I looked up and matt looked at me. I just smiled and went back to where i was.
"Your welcome. You're very lucky to have known her and been her friend for so long" matt said. Matthew. Awe.
"Yeah. But anyway, thats why i was in such a bad mood. I just dont want anything to happen to you" shawn said
"Nothing is going to happen" i said, looking up
"Im not going to hurt her. I would never do that to her. To anyone really. She means a lot to me and ive only known her for 2 days" matt said
"You promise?" Shawn said
"I promise" matt said. I smiled and got up. I walked over to shawn and hugged him. He hugged back and rubbed my back. I pulled away and looked at matt.
"So i have permission to date your best friend?" Matt said
"Yes" shawn said. Matt smiled.
"I shall start planning" matt said. I smiled and hugged him. He pulled away and kissed the top of my head.
"Your a good guy. I trust you. But if anything does happen, beware" shawn said. Matt nodded. His phone went off and he quickly checked it.
"Uh I gotta go" matt said.
"Okay" I said, before hugging him.
"Actually goodbye now" I said
"No. Not goodbye. Goodbye means forever. And I promised that I would see you again. So goodnight. Not goodbye" he said.
"Goodnight matthew" I said
"Goodnight Alyssa" he said. He pulled away and did some weird bro hug thing with shawn.
"Take care of her man" matt said
"My pleasure" shawn said. Matt walked back over to me and kissed my cheek.
"I love you" he said.
"I love you too" I said "tell Wes to text me. I need to talk to him"
"Okay" matt said, before walking out. I walked over to shawn and hugged him.
"Thank you" I said.
"Your welcome" he said. I pulled away and he looked at me.
"You know that that was really hard for me right" he said
"I know. That's why I thanked you" I said. He nodded and I sat back down on the couch. He sat next to me as I went on my phone. He watched as I went through my social media. I went to snapchat and held up the phone. We took a picture and I quoted it with
'He's been the best today:)'
I posted it and looked at Matt's snapchat. There were snapchats of him and the guys, him lip syncing, then one of me and him. It was during the time that shawn was tellin him the story. That sneaky little poop. I screenshotted it and it went away. The next one was a video of when i hugged him.
'Goodnight matthew' i said
'Goodnight alyssa' he said. It ended and it made me smile. I decided to snapchat him. I took a quick picture of the floor.
'Babeee. That snapchat was v cute' i put on it.
"You wanna watch a movie or something?" Shawn asked
"Yeah sure" i said. He picked out a movie and put it in the dvd player. It started and he made popcorn. I got a text from matt so i answered it.
M: I know right? Very cute. Very very cute
A: Yes very
M: Watcha doin
A: Watchin mobies. Wbu
M: Watching sammy be stupid.
A: Fun fun
M: Yep. Anywayy. What movie you watching
I didnt feel like typing it so i just decided to send a video. I started it on the movie until i pointed it to face me and shawn. He looked at the camera thinking that it was a picture. He stood there for about 10 second before i told him it was a video.
"Shawn its a video" i said
"Oh" he said. We both laughed and i ended the video. I sent it to matt and he didnt reply. I just put my phone down and continued to watch the movie. We watched it for about 20 minutes until shawn tapped my shoulder. I looked at him and he just stared at me.
"Shawn" i said.
"Shawn. Stop sca-" i was cut off by shawn kissing me very intensely. I hesitated, and thought about kissing back. But then i thought about matt. I put my hands on his chest and pushed him off just enough for his lips to be off mine.
"I-Im sorry. I have to go" i said, quickly standing up. I grabbed my phone and ran out. I grabbed the 2 penny boards and rode one as i held the other. I rode home as fast as i could. Once i got back, i ran upstairs and put my penny boards under my bed. I just flopped on my bed. I wasnt sure how exactly to react to what just happened. Shawn knows that i like matt. Why would he do that? Is he jealous? Because if he is, its his fault. Hes had 17 years. 17 years to do this. And he does it now. Uhg. By now i was staring at the ceiling. I felt a tear roll down my eye. My phone started ringing so i looked at it. Its was matt. I hit answer and he sounded relieved.
"Alyssa" he said
"Hi" i said
"Are you crying?" He asked
"Matthew" i said
"Yes"
"Please hurry" i said
"With what" he said
"Please plan quickly" i said
"Ill do my best. Its going to be hard to get back there while im on tour. But i promise, i will make you my girlfriend" he said
"Okay" i said, kind of laughing
"Are you okay?" He asked
"I dont know" i said
"What happened" he said.
"Can i facetime you?" I asked
"Yes" he said. I did and he instantly answered. I set up my phone against my desk as i stood up in front of it.
"Why are you crying. Please stop crying" he said
"Shawn...he uhm.." I said
"Did he hurt you?" Matt asked "Because if so, i will run there right now"
"No. He didnt hurt me. But promise me you wont get mad at what im going to tell you" i said
"I promise"
"Shawn..he uhm...he kissed me" i said. Matt looked down and put his fingers on his lips, kind of playing with them. I pulled over my spinny chair and sat on it. I put my knees up to my chest and held them. We kind of just sat there in silence for about 10 minutes. He was clearly thinking about what i just told him. I just sat there anxiously waiting for him to say something. I started to cry more and more by the minute. He got up and walked away. Shit.
"M-" nevermind. Hes already mad. Why should i try to make him forgive me. He soon came back and looked into the camera.
"Babe" he said. I looked up and his eyes were red.
"Please stop crying" i said.
"I will. As long as you stop" he said. I wiped my tears with my sleeve.
"Im not mad at you. Your beautiful, its not like i wasn't expecting something like that. Especially someone who you've known your whole life" he said
"Oh thank god. I thought you were like really mad at me. Im so sorry" i said
"Its okay. I know that whatever happened, you didnt mean it. I love you" he said
"I love you" i said. I walked in the bathroom and grabbed a tissue. I walked back into my room and continued to wipe my eyes with it. Matt started laughing a little so i looked in the mirror. My makeup was all messed up so i just took it off. I walked back over and matts eyes went big.
"I never seen you without makeup before" he sakd
"Yeah. Ugly right?" I daid
"No. More like beautiful. You should wear no makeup more often" he said
"I dont know" i said
"You should"
"When does your tour end?" I asked
"October 29th"
"Uhg im gonna be in school by then" i said
"When do you go back?" He asked
"Monday" i said
"2 days? Wow" matt said
"Yep"
"I wish i could like come and keep you company" he said
"Yeah. But you'd make like a huge crowd of people and like it would be crazy" i said
"I guess so" he said
"Okay well im gonna make some dinner for myself cause in lonely" i said
"Okay. Goodnight babe" he said
"Goodnight matthew" i said. He hung up and i walked downstairs. I started to make some mac and cheese before someone rang my doorbell. I walked up to my door and opened it. I couldnt believe who was standing there.
"Hi" he said
"Tristan" i said
"Hi" he said
"How..when..what?" I said, letting him in. Tristan is the boy my brother had over that night. I haven't seen him since that night.
"I thought you moved to cali" i said
"I did. But im here visiting like family and stuff and i decided to visit" he said
"Oh. Okay. So how've you been" i said
"Good i guess. I mean i dont exactly know how to answer that since what happened" he said
"Yeah. I dont blame you" i said "want some mac and cheese?" I asked
"Sure" he said. I got 2 bowls and put some in each one. I handed him a bowl and a fork and sat down.
"So you start school soon" he said
"Yep. Not looking forward to it" i said
"Yeah. So whos that boy in your Instagram page thats like really famous" tristan asked
"Oh matt? Oh hes one of my friends" i said, telling him the whole story all the way until what just happened.
"Oh yeah how is shawn?" He asked
"Good. I mean he really doesnt want me and matt hanging out obviously. He says he just doesnt want me getting hurt again because of what gavin did, but i think hes just jealous" i said
"Yeah but he had 17 years to do that and he didnt" he said
"I know. I know. Hes just acting really weird lately. I dont know" i said.
"Wait so how have you been?" He asked
"I dont know really. Matts helped me though. Even if ive only known him for 2 days. Well like ive known him for 3 years, but ive only met him 2 days ago" i said
"Oh?" He said, kind of laughing.
"You wanna meet him?" I asked
"Yeah sure" he said. I got my phone and facetimed matt again.
"Hey" i said
"Hey babe. Whats up?" He asked
"I want you to meet tristan. Hes my brothers friend that was there that day. Tristan this is matt" i said
"hey" tristan said
"Hey" matt said
"So like are you guys together?" Tristan said
"Nope. Soon though. Very soon" matt said. I smiled and tristan looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders and looked back at matt. We talked until we finished our food. Matt had to go because it was getting late so I just put my phone in my pocket.
"You really like him don't you" Tristan asked
"Yeah kinda.." I said, looking down a little and smiling. He put his hand on my shoulder and I looked up.
"Good. Cause I trust him and I probably wouldn't trust anyone else. He treats you right. I like him" Tristan said. I just hugged him. His opinion means a lot to me. He's my best friend. We just talked for a while about things until tristan had to go home. After he left, i just went up to my room and put on some music. I played "Daydreams" by Gnash on sound cloud and lightly sung along to it. I just jammed out to some songs until i got tired. I shut it off and went to bed.
