"So, what'd you all do to get in here?"
The question fell from my lips before I even registered what I had said. The boys looked at each other before nodding slightly. An Asian boy stood up, and after clearing his throat, flashed me a huge grin.
"Hi Ryan, I'm Sam." he stuck out his hand. "I don't think I need to tell you what I did, again."
I laughed, "Hi Sam, nice to finally see your face."
"Wait-" said Blake, standing up, "You two know each other?"
"Yeah!" I exclaimed, "Sam has a cell right next to mine."
"Cell neighbors!" Sam cheered, giving me a high five.
"Hang on a minute, one, Sam, you knew she was here and you didn't tell? Why the hell didn't you tell me?!" he glared at the boy, who seemed to shrink under his gaze.
"B, don't." I cut in, giving him a warning glance.
"And you!" he exclaimed, whirling on me. "Exactly how long have you been here??"
I smiled sheepishly, "About a month now.."
"A month?! A whole freaking month you've been here and you are just now coming to see me?!"
"Hey, I wanted to see you, but freaking Commander never let me out of my stinking cell!" I shouted back.
He stopped and looked at me, the other boys turned as well. "The Commander? You were detained by the Commander himself?" he choked out.
"Yeah, he's kinda Kate's dad.." I trailed off, looking the floor.
"Kate. I'll freaking kill her." Blake seethed, balling up his fists.
"Please don't." I begged. "He barely let me out today as it is, apparently the only reason I'm out here at all is because Kate asked him to."
"Kate asked him to let you out? That makes no sense, she was the one who turned you in." he shook his head in confusion.
I shrugged my shoulders, " I haven't got a clue either, but it doesn't change the fact that I still hate her."
I smiled at him, and he put an arm around me, pressing a small kiss to my forehead.
"So, shall we get finished introducing people?" Sam piped up.
"Yeah!" I said, laughing.
A boy with dark hair and brown eyes stood up, "Hi, I'm Dominic, but you can call me Dom."
"So you're the infamous Dominic?" I said, raising my eyebrows.
He smiled shyly and sat back down. This time a blonde haired boy with green eyes stood. "I'm Chris, in for defacing government property."
"Oh? What'd you do?" I asked.
"I spray painted the White House, purple."
"No way!" I exclaimed, "that was you?"
He nodded proudly. The next boy who stood up was tall, with light brown, slightly gold hair, and hazel eyes. "I'm Airic."
"Hi Airic, what are you in for?" I asked.
The whole table went eerily silent. I looked at the boys, who were cautiously looking at each other.
"What?" I asked.
"You don't need to know." Sam said, slowly shaking his head.
"Seriously, tell me." I persisted, "Really, come on, now I NEED to know."
"Trust me, you don't need to know." Dominic said.
"But-" I said, but I was cut off by Airic clearing his throat. All eyes turned to look at him as he stood up.
"Fine you want to know? Fine, I'll tell you." he said, looking right at me.
I nodded for him to continue.
"I shot him." he said softly, "I shot the Commander."
