Ash//
My eyes are poofy. Tears are still flowing out. My nose is runny. And I am in the middle of the woods walking to a broken and worn out shack. To be quite honest I feel like I'm going to faint, or puke. Rain from the clouds are threatning to spill.
I ran out the house with only my iPod and headphones.
My phone is still on the counter beside the apple I forgot.
I have been out for about an hour. Just wandering the woods.
Finally, I found the shack.
I flung flung is that a word? the door open and slammed it shut behind me. It hadn't changed since the last time we came here. About 5 years ago. The last year we spent with each other before I decided to become the ass I am.
I put my earphones in and listened to some Green Day.Flo//
What have I done?
What did I do?
Why did he go?
Was it my fault?
Aww Gawd. He could be drinking. He could be lost somewhere. He could be going to get himself arrested. Or WORSE he could be-
"Stop over thinking!" Luke said interrupting my thoughts.
"But its all my fault. I started the convosation. The fight. But it would never have happened if he didn't try to" I said getting angry almost immediatly, "But he did try and apologise and I pushed him away" I say getting sad again, "But they were probably just for saying sorry!" I said getting angry again.
"Are you bi-polar?" Mike asked.
"I don't know, am I?" I asked tears building up again.
"I think you are." He said cuddling up against me.
Where would he be?
I gasped, knocking my head against Mikey. Making us both whimper.
"I know where he is!" I said, grabbing my jacket and shoes and racing out the door.
"Flo, wait up!" Calum called behind us.
"No time!" I shouted back.
I dodged past people in the street. Ignoring their rude comments.
I made it to the woods. I knew exactly where he would be. He was one of my best friends. Notice the 'was'.
I kept running past the trees and nettles to the worn out shack. This was our favourite place 5 years ago.
It feels like forever since I've been here. I slowed down when I got to the door.
"Please be here." I whispered.
Carefully, I opened the door and immediatly closed it behind me. Ashton was sleeping in the rocking chair.
When we were little we found it by a garbage truck. We grabbed it and dragged it all the way here. Usually, I was the one who always slept in it and Ashton would have to carry me home. Then dad would invite him over. Then my sister would complain that she never gets to have anyone over. And I would laugh at her. Then the next day I would go to Ashton's for dinner.
I smiled a little at the memory.
Ashton started to stir a little.
"Flo?" He asked.
His eyes were still closed. I think he's sleep talking.
"Flo. I am so sorry. I'm so stupid. I ruined our friendship. Everything. Urghhh I never stopped loving you! But I had to go and ruin everything. With that other asshole you liked."
Hold the mother truckin phone.
Ashton...ashton just said he loved me? What? What!
Do I love him back?
I have a boyfriend. He's the sweetest kitten honestly. I don't think I love him. Ashton I mean. Wait...do I love Mike? This is too much pressure.Ash//
*Thump*
That startled me. What on earth was that? I looked around. Where am I?
Oh right, the shack.
Flo?
"Oh my God! Flo!" I ran up to her. She's out cold. I scooped her up into my arms.
"I am so sorry. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have run away." I held her tighter and went out of the shack.
"Ash!"
"Ashton!"
"Don't ever do that!" Were the greetings I got.
"Do what?" I asked.
"Run away without your phone." Luke answered.
Mike took Flaurence from my arms and carried her back home.
We put her on the sofa in the lounge. I put a blanket on her and went into the kitchen.
"You guys hungry?"
They nodded keeping their eyes to their phones.
I started to make pancakes. I made the batter first. Adding the odd chocolate now and then.
"What are you doing?" A voice said behind me.
"Making pancakes." I simply replied
"You're doing it wrong." She said.
"Am not."
"Are to."
"Am not."
"Are to."
"How am I doing it wrong?" I asked.
"First of all you need a lot more batter than that. Second, you are going to burn that pan if you don't put anything in it."
"You learn when you fail." I smiled.
"You won't fail-"
"Aww, Thanks."
"Let me finish. You won't fail because I'm making the pancakes."
"No you're not." I stated.
"Am to!" She argued and dragged me by the hair away from the pan.
"Ouch!" I said rubbing the spot she pulled. She started humming a song I recognised.
"Making pancakes
Making bacon pancakes" by Jake the Dog on Adventure Time.
But she was singing.
"Making pancakes, making chocolate pancakes." Over and over again.
I started to do some beatboxing to her singing.
Calum started singing with her and Luke started beatboxing aswell.
Michael is just tapping things that make sound.
Calum and Flo harmonizing at points.
We sounded awesome. Just putting that out there.
We made about 30 pancakes.
I got all the sprinkles and sauces and other stuff like that.
Flo ran to our room and came back with a packet of skittles.
"Where did you get them?" I asked.
She just smiled.
I sat next to Calum and Luke while, Flo sat on the other side of Luke and next to Mike.
We ate our chocolate pancakes and talked a lot. It felt like our little quarrel was over for the time being. Back when we were bestfriends, talking, laughing. The memories make me smile. Yet my idiocy is what stopped it from happening.
"I feel so small next to you guys." Flo had said.
"Cause you are small." I joked.
"And you've still got wacky hair." She joked back.
I gasped fakely, "How DARE you talk about my hair that way."
That got everyone laughing, even Flo.
