The Engagement Chapter 5

It's been about a year since I stabbed my brother me Mia and Jenna were at the park me and Mia were watching her play when i got up off the bench I looked at Mia and opened my mouth. "Mia can I ask you something?" I say making her suspicious. "suuure what is it?" She asks curious.

I get down on one knee and open the tiny box. "Mia Greene will you marry me?" People look in awe at us and she yells. "YES YES!!" Jenna came over to see what was wrong. "Mummy daddy whats wrong?" She asks as me and Mia kiss. "Ewww cooties!" Jenna blurts out making everyone laugh.

It was about 8:30 when I heard the smashing, Mia shaking me to get up so I did. As I walked down the stairs I saw a familiar face as well as 3 other unknown faces but I didn't say anything instead i crept up but was grabbed and slammed into the wall. You know when you are a teenager and still have a kid and stay up late you do things so you stay up what I did was bought drugs but I wasn't an addict. "WHERES MY MONEY FOOL!?!?!" One of the guys yells at me. "HONESTLY?" I yell back, He nods. "OK here it is!" I spit blood into his face as he stabs my leg with a piece of glass. "GHA!!!" I yell. "Bruno take this fucker out" The one guy says as the rest walk out. Bruno a large muscular man was wearing a white tank top cargo jeans and dog boots. He stood over me with a gun and pulled the trigger as the truck pulled off.

"GHA DAMN BRUNO YOU GOTTA DO IT SO CLOSE TO MY EAR YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!" I yell at him.

"Sorry Lukas had to." He says with a sorry look. Mia comes running down the stairs screaming and jumps into his arms. "BRUNO BRUNO BRUNO!!!!" She yells hugging him tightly as I sit down on the steps and bandage my knee. "Hey little sis I missed you!" He says setting her to the ground. "hey Bruno did you really have to let them stab me?" I say as Mia looks over. "Luke!" she yells as she runs over hugging me and kissing me like I just got back home from being on a trip for a year.

"I'm fine babe just a scratch." I say trying to calm her down then she jumps up. "Hey Bruno guess what." She holds her hand out showing him the ring. "NO WAY YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!" He yells as she nods then she whispers something in his ear. "What are you to talking about?" I ask with a suspicious look. "NOTHING!" They both yell. "Well Bruno if you need somewhere to stay tonight you can stay here." I offer him as he nods and heads upstairs.
