I'm a real life book character!

Chapter 1- From Akarta to Sealin

What a beautiful day it is in Sealin city. Not at all like my old world Akarta. Let me explain. My name is Selma Willow and i'm 17, I used to be in a book called Anarchy of Akarta. The author Melody Maclean created me as the main character. One day I woke up and I was in Sealin City  and the Anarchy of Akarta was just a book. I love Sealin City and being a real person but it is hard without any family and I miss my mum so much, my dad left when I was 3 so she takes care of me all on my own and I really want to take her here to Sealin. The government classified me as an orphan who emigrated from Canada after my parents drowned on a cruise. Sealin City is nothing like Akarta, here I have friends and go to school and am basically like your normal teenager. I have been out of the book for about 10 months now. The one thing that keeps me from forgetting Akarta and my life there is these flashbacks that I have in my dreams. They show me bits of my past. Sometimes I miss it but most of the time I am thankful to be in Sealin City. My 2 best friends Kate and Elizabeth are the only ones who know the truth. You would think that avid readers would put two and two together and realise that i'm the same Selma Willow from the book but if they notice they ask if I know Melody and if she named the character after me. I usually I just say yes so not to arouse any suspicions.
I lived in an apartment at the end of Brocking road with my friend Kate. She let me stay at her apartment as I don't have my own house. I also go to high school and am in year 11. We didn't have high school back in Akarta, there all the schools had been demolished to make buildings for the government.
It took me a while to adjust to Sealin, but now that I have I don't think i'll ever go back.

That night after school Kate and I walked back to the apartment with Elizabeth. As it was a Friday we decided to have a best friend sleepover! Elizabeth lived 2 streets over in a house with her family. When Kate unlocks the door we all go inside and set-up. "Ice-cream, movies, pjs, sleeping stuff and other snacks," checked Kate "Is that all guys?" "That sounds perfect!" I replied. We all got into our spots and here we got down to the real sleepover. "So Elizabeth, how are you and your boyfriend going?" I asked. "Oh yeah fine, Jacob and I are really getting along and he's really sweet and takes me on the cutest dates!" Elizabeth squealed "I still can't believe that out of all the girls in our school he chose me!". "Well we're so happy for you, he seems worthy of our BFF," smiled Kate "What about you Kate, how are you and Dean?" I questioned " Well yesterday I caught him talking very intimately with Riley Meyers and it looked like they were just about to kiss when I walked and asked him what on earth was going on, he made some excuse about talking to her about her maths assignment but boys don't go to Riley Meyers to talk about maths assignments, so I just don't know anymore, he won't admit what he was doing so I don't know if I can trust him," Kate finished with a small sob "I think I will give him one more chance to come clean and if he doesn't maybe I'll have to break it off," "I'm so sorry Kate, he doesn't deserve you if you want to give him another chance then text him right now and see what he says," Elizabeth suggested. "Ok,"said Kate " Here I go,"
Kate❤️: hey Dean, what was happening with Riley yesterday? I know that you weren't talking about a maths assignment, please tell me the truth.
Dean😘😍💕: Katie, what more do you want me to say? Riley came up to me before lunch and was asking me about a maths assignment for geometry that her class had and I was helping her understand some things. There is nothing between us.
Kate❤️: It looked like you two were about to kiss when I walked in.
Dean😘😍💕: I swear it wasn't what it looked like! Ur the one that I want!

Kate turned to us " He's denying it, there's only one thing left to do, text Riley and ask if Dean is telling the truth,"

Kate the nerd: Hello Riley, how are you today?
Riley😵😁: Kate what do you want?
Kate the nerd: Were you and Dean about to kiss yesterday? And were you talking about a maths assignment? Or was it something else?
Riley😵😁: ok I'm gonna be completely honest right now cause I know you want answers and you won't get any from him, he's been cheating on you with me for 2 months now.
Kate the nerd: Are you serious? Omg my boyfriend and you?!
Riley😵😁: yeah sorry gtg cya

"Oh my god!" Screamed Kate "My boyfriend has been cheating on me with Riley!, boy is he gonna get it!"

Kate😒: Dean, I know the truth, Riley told me everything, I can't believe you have been cheating on me for 2 months with her!! I would never do that to you!!
Dean🔫😡: Hey Kate I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to happen!
Kate😒: Well now I have no choice but to break up with you, sorry bye Dean.
Dean🔫😡: I'm sorry

Dean💋: Hey Riley, Kate finally broke up with me, thanks for telling her that stuff! Come over to my house xx
Riley❤️: Finally we can be together, already in the car xx
(A/N this may not seem to fit with the story but everything has a reason)
Kate burst into tears,for the rest of the night we comforted her and watched Mean Girls.

The next day I was sitting in my bed when I had a vision:

My mother was next to the police and were screaming at the officers about where I was and where the general was, the general walked in and told her that I was dead and because I was the last descendant he could take over the government, my mother dropped to floor crying while the general laughed and threw her in a jail cell.

"Mum!" I screamed. If this vision is true that means that all of the Descendants are dead. The descendants are a group of teenagers and young adults who are chosen at birth. The law states that the general cannot take over the government if any of the descendants live so he must have murdered them all! The General is ruthless, I can't believe he would do that to all the other descendants! What am I going to do? I can't go back can I? I don't know how to get back, I just want to get my mum and bring her with me to Sealin, I have a good life here but I can't ignore what I just saw, Akarta is in trouble and I may be the only one who can save it!
