I walked down the street to school and the only thing I could think about was the vision I had last night. I don't know what to do! I'm not sure how to get back and I think I'm going to have to find a way because even though I don't want to go Akarta seems to be falling apart without me. I looked in front of me and I saw Jesse Smith from my school walking towards me, he grabbed my arm and pulled me into an alleyway. "Selma, I know your secret and I can help you get back home," he whispered quickly. "Really?!" I exclaimed. "Yes, my dad is a scientist and he has been working on an invention for many years and it is finally finished, he has made a world travel machine which can take you back to Akarta," he said " All I'm asking for in return is a date from your friend Kate,". "I don't know, Jesse can't there be some other way?". "No if you want to get back this is my only offer," Jesse said " I will be at the Eagle Hotel Restaurant at 6:00pm on Sunday and will wait until 6:30pm if Kate does not arrive in this half hour than the deal is off and you are stuck here forever, choose wisely Selma, think of everyone suffering and maybe it will change your thoughts," "I'll see what I can do," I sighed. "Good, remember my offer," he replied and was gone within a few seconds. What do I do? Do I knowingly set up one of my best friends with my schools biggest player? Or do I sacrifice my mother and Akarta and try and find another way? I'll ask Kate when I get to school and hopefully she's willing to help out her BFF.
But if she doesn't then will my mum die because of me?
