Chapter 6

     Everyone waited in anticipation as they waited for the light to turn green, and once it did everyone set off. Class 1-A knowing how each other fight, jumped into the air just as Todoroki froze the ground, encasing all the unsuspecting students feet in ice. Tori created her phoenix, got onto its back, and flew out of the tunnel at top speed landing herself in first place. She could hear Present Mic in the background, but focused on the massive zero point robots. The first robot she set on fire causing a burning inferno for the rest of the students. The second she disabled with the code on the back of its head, which caused it to fall but she cut the robot to pieces making it rain metal. "LOOK AT YOUNG TORI GO! TURNING THE OBSTACLES INTO PROBLEMS FOR EVERYONE ELSE. SHE JUST CROSSED OVER THE SECOND TASK MAKING A HUGE GAP BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND!" Present Mic went back to putting the spot light on some of the other students.

     Tori reached the mine field and got a wicked idea, she dug close to fifteen out of the ground and put them on a little fire platform that raised into the sky. She quickly flew to the exit and won first place but brought her attention the big screen that showed at least twenty people approach the last obstacle. She could see Todoroki, Bakugou, Midoriya, and Shinsou plus a few other 1-A student in the mix. Tori canceled her quirk with a smirk and watched as the mines fell to the ground and exploding even more mines, causing a huge pink smoke screen. "NOT ONLY DID YOUNG TORI WIN FIRST PLACE BUT SHE CAUSED A MASSIVE SMOKE SCREEN!!! AIZAWA WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN TEACHING YOUR CLASS!!!" She heard Mic say and her teacher respond, "She is a natural genius and has what it takes to make a great hero." The crowd cheered as they watched people emerge from the smoke.

     Todoroki, Bakugou, Midoriya, and Shinsou all ran out of the pink cloud fighting for second place. Victoria watched as Shinsou tripped Midoriya and took third place, she knew her training was paying off when he was running faster than the three over powered teens. All four seemed to pass the finish line at the same time. Everyone who wasn't still in the race watched the screen with built up anxiety. They all watched the slow motion video to determine who placed where, and then Present Mic announced it with excitement. "IN SECOND PLACE WE HAVE HITOSHI SHINSO FOLLOWED BY TODOROKI SHOUTO IN THIRD, BAKUGOU KATSUKI IN FOURTH, AND MIDORIYA IZUKU IN FIFTH!!!" To say that the three boys weren't happy was an understatement of the year. Tori ran up to Shinso and gave him a big hug, "I knew you could do it Hito, you have improved by leaps and bounds." Shinso smiled and out his arm around her shoulder.

     Once everyone has passed through the finish line they all looked towards Midnight who was in front of the big screen. Midnight states that the 42 students at the top have earned the right to advance while the other students fail to advance. She also announces the second event of the Sports Festival: The Cavalry Battle. The top 42 students each form a team of 2-4 for this event and earn points by grabbing headbands from the other teams. The number of points each student is worth is dependent on their placement in the Obstacle Race. However, Victoria, who placed 1st, is an exception to the points rule and is instead worth 10 million points, which causes her to smirk. Midnight explains that the time for the Cavalry Battle is 15 minutes and that the point value of each team will be the total accumulation of each of the headbands taken. The hero then says the one to wear the total point accumulated headband will be the rider. 

     Midnight continues to explain that the headband can only be worn around the head or the neck, and that if a team crumbles or loses a headband, that team is not out of the game. She also states that Quirks can be used but cannot be used for malicious aim. Midnight orders the students to begin team negotiations and have 15 minutes to team up. Tori then teams up with Ojiro, Shinso, and Jiro, making their total points over ten million. She observes who teamed up with who; Bakugou was with Kirishima, Mina, and Sero. Todoroki had Iida, Momo, and Denki on his team; then Midoriya teamed up with Uraraka, Tokoyami, and Hatsume Mei. They all got in formation with Shinso up front, Jiro to the right, Ojiro to the left, and Tori as the rider. Once the fifteen minutes was up, Midnight then announced that the game had begun.

     Before the time to group up was over, Tori had taped each of her member's shoes with a special tape. It could withstand the heat of her quirk and wouldn't burn the bottom of their shoes. When the buzzer went off, every team went after Victoria for her points. Right before anyone could get too close, fire shot out of the ground creating a big fire tornado. This caused the teams to back away a bit and give Tori time to create a platform of fire and lift her team high into the air. "This way we can just rest and not have to worry about fighting anyone. We will get our chance after lunch." They nodded and appreciated the thought that was put into the plan. People tried to get to them, but it wasn't working and they focused on the people around them. Soon the battle ended and points were tallied and the placements were updated. In first was Tori, Shinso, Jiro, and Ojiro, in second was Todoroki's team, following him in third was Bakugou, who was pissed, and Midoriya placed in fourth.

     Everyone was gathered to see what the last task was and Midnight easily grabbed the attention of everyone. "The last task is a bracket 1v1 battles, the contestants that have placed in the top four teams will be fighting. If you want to back out now then please let us know and the next runner up will take your place. Here is the bracket of who will be facing off, now please enjoy some lunch and there will be some mini games that the every student can participate in. The next round will begin in a hour." Midnight walked off the platform and the students dispersed for lunch. Ojiro and Jiro stepped down from the fight and thanked Tori for chance to participate further. Midnight placed two people from class 1-B in their place. 

     Victoria and Shinso made their way to the VIP room to grab her parents for lunch. Once they arrived, Tori was pounced upon by her siblings while her mom gave Shinso a hug and Allen shook his hand congratulating him. "You were amazing out there!" Marie all but shouted, "That's my lil sister, knock them dead in the next part!" Jon exclaimed and Dani nodded along. They also congratulated Shinso. Class 1-A, except for Midoriya and Todoroki, watched them from a distance. Allen then spoke up, "How about you introduce us to your classmates?" Tori just sighed and walked her family over to the class. "This is Class 1-A, you already know Jiro. The ash-blonde is Bakugou Kastsuki, he has anger issues; Todoroki Shoto seems to not be present, but he is the candy cane looking kid. Midoriya Izuku also isn't present, but he is the kid with the green broccoli looking hair. I honestly don't really remember the rest of their names, but the tall kid with blue hair, glasses, and engines  is Iida Tenya. His brother is the Pro Hero Ingenium, attended UA." Some of her classmates were offended that she didn't remember their names, but shocked that she knew some of them.

     Allen nodded and Tishia smiled, "You'll have to forgive my daughter, she isn't big on making friends. I am surprised she made friends with Jiro and Hito over here." The class just nodded and said their goodbyes so that they could get lunch. The Moon family plus Shinso also went to go get lunch before the next task started. Tori was truly enjoying herself for once since they moved countries.

(the battle tournament will be in the next chapter, I also made the bracket up above. Mina won't battle Aoyoma, he finished in the obstacle corse as one of the last to cross the finish line. I am changing up the plot a little bit but not by too much I hope.)
