Mitch's POV

I was running to the beach once Cade and the others dissapeared. I figured that they had been zapped to the moon pool. I didn't know anyways to the beach from Eric's house so I had to go the long way. As I ran I was thinking, but not about Cade but about Eric. About his croocked chin,his brown eyes his built figure. I don't know why but every since yesterday when he stormed out of Cade's house I couldn't keep him out of my head. I almost slipped once I stepped onto the beach. I continued to run feeling the warm air in my breath. The sound of families and teens playing around caught my attention. I couldn't just vanish into the water with all these people watching. I looked further down the shore and saw that there a clear spot.

I turned to the road and began to walk before I realized something. I have powers, I can turn invisible. I shouted inside my head. I walked behind one of the vehicles on the road and waved my hand across my face and watched as my hand vanished. I stood up and started running towards the beach feeling my feet sliding through the my toes. The sound of kids screaming and laughing caught my attention again. They were looking at something in the air. I looked up and saw a water balloon heading straight for me. Me being the stupid merman I am, I only stood there and lifted my hands to sheild it. I waited for the water to splash all over me but it never came. I looked for the balloon and almost yelled when I saw that the balloon was floating inside this clear bubble, the way the light caught it made it look like a rainbow. I dropped my hand and the bubble disappeared letting the balloon fall right onto me. I let my instincts kick in and I ran right into the water. Just as I was waist deep I got my tail. I started to swim out towards the direction of the moon pool. I pushed through the water as hard as I could trying to get to the pool in less than ten minutes.

I could like sense that something was after me after about a minute of swimming. I stopped and just floated there for a second looking around the beautiful ocean for the feeling I had. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash of grey . I turned in that direction and saw a shark heading right for me. I put my hand up and watched as the clear yet colorful bubble went around me. The shark hit head on with the bubble and got flung back like paper. I put the bubble down and zoomed past the stunned shark. I got about a good ten feet from it when it started swimming after me. I zigged and zagged and went through schools of fish but that damn shark was gaining speed. I was getting really tired and losing speed fast. I looked around for something that would help when I spotted it. I did a dive and swam up to an octopus that was starting to camouflage with some coral. I swam passed it and smacked it with my tail. Almost immediately it inked the water and gave me Time to escape. After I was about a mile away from the inking I swam to the surface and looked around for any familiar land markings, I searched until I saw the cave that led to the pool. I dove under the water and started to swim to the pool. Once I got there I could Here the grunting and screaming above. I started to drag myself out of the water when I saw Cade,Eric,and Bry fighting. I got out of the water a little more and all three of them turned to me with glowing eyes, Brys eyes were the scariest, his eyes shown white while Cades and Eric's shown blue and red. The all lifted their hands and shot ice, fire, and water at me. I put my bubble up around me and watched as the elements bounced off of my bubble and hit the cave top. That's the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
