Today's March 17, 2009. The day I got adopted by Gerard and Frank Iero. They're nice people, but I always have one question in my mind. Why aren't I with my real parents. I've always put myself down by saying I was too much for them. That they didn't like me. That I was nothing to them. That's one half of my brain, the other half is angry. It's saying: No matter what you are supposed to love your child unconditionally. Where are they? What kind of people were they? What messed up people do this? The same goes for all the parents I'm the orphanage. No one deserves this. No child should feel this way.

Besides this, I had a pretty normal and boring childhood. It's going to take some getting used to being known by Helena Iero. So far Gerard and Frank have been very nice. I wonder how long this takes to wear off. I'm hoping I get to call them dad since I've never had one. My other new dad is so far much better than any mom, so it makes up for the whole "mom" thing.

Gerard: So Helena what do you like to do in your free time?

Me: Well, I play electric guitar, but unfortunately they made me leave it at the orphanage. I sketch a lot, mostly objects and things like that. Sometimes I like to cook and play soccer, but I love to sing. I know I'm not that good, but it's something I love.

Frank: We are going to have so much fun. We do a lot of those things too. Anyway, did you know that me and Gerard are in a band?

We were in the car to their house. Things weren't as awkward as I thought because I've always wanted a family and now that I'm in one I want to make the most of it. Gerard was driving and frank sat in the passenger's seat. Apparently we have a lot in common.

Me: Yes, you are in my second favorite band, My Chemical Romance. I've never went to your concerts or- actually I've never seen your faces. At the orphanage we are only allowed to listen to the music and that's it.

Gerard: So who is your favorite band?

Me: it's Green day.

Frank: We've been on your with them once..... so you like our music? I've been so worried you wouldn't like us for that.

Me: No I really do like it.

Gerard: We're almost there.

Frank: Gerard and I have some surprises for you when we get home. We know you'll love it.

I nodded my head smiling. For once this is a new chapter in my life. My new dads are great. Finally we were arriving at my new home.

The car pulled in to a huge house. Gerard and Frank got out of the car. Frank started to take my stuff inside as he smiled at me and said," Welcome home, Helena."

Gerard opened my door for me and we went inside. Everything was huge. I looked around every where taking in the scene. It was massive.

Gerard: Come on, we'll show you your room.

I followed behind them upstairs. They now were behind me with their fingers intertwined. I opened the door and inside was a room the color pink. The color I hated most. Everything was pretty much pastel colors and stuff.

Grerard: Do you like it?

Frank: It's okay if you don't.. I mean your not much a girly girl and we don't want to put pressure on you. We have another room for you if you want to look at that one.

Gerard: How about we take a look at the next one before we make decisions.

Down the hallway was another too with a black handle on it. Frank opened the door and I couldn't believe my eyes.

The room was painted dark blue with Green day, My Chemical Romance, Black Veil Brides, All Time Low, Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, Nirvana, Panic! At The Disco, Escape the Fate and more posters of bands on them. The bed had black covers and pillows. I had an awesome black desk with an apple computer on it. There was a bean bag and some candles too. The tv was pretty big and I had a fish bowl with a medium sized gold fish.

I turned around completely shocked hugging the both of them.

Me: Thank you so much. I appreciate all of it. I love it, everything in here.

Gerard: I had a feeling you would.

Frank: Thank god we have an alt girl.

Gerard: You can call us dad if you want. I don't wan to rush it. Actually you don't have to at all it's your decision. I'm sorry.

Me: it's okay, dad.

They both looked so relieved. I don't know if it was that I didn't break down about the dad thing or that I really loved the room.

Frank: So you say you like to play electric guitar... Let's go to the basement.

Gerard: Helena, I am guaranteed that you will absolutely love it.

We went downstairs and down more stairs to the basement. It was also amazing. The whole house was. Well everything except for that pink room. It was of brick walls and on one of the walls there were at least one hundred guitars on it. In the back left side of the room was an art table. With a compartment in the wall with paint, canvas, paper and anything you could thing of that includes art. On the right hand side in the back was a recording studio. It looked really great. There was a little lounge and a small refrigerator in the left front side. In the front right hand side of the basement was a stage and some comfortable looking chairs for the audience.

Me: Wooow

I was in awe. Everything in here was describing my likes and dislikes. They laughed a bit at my reaction. Frank took down a red shiny electric guitar and handed it to me with a black pic.

Frank: Show us what you got.

I played a piece of what I made up a few months ago. It was kinda hard to play being an 11 year old but it was fun to show them what I could do.

Gerard: Wow, I can't even play but you- your wonderful. You and Frank may have some future competitions.

We all laughed.

Frank: That was really, really good. I'm amazed- I've never seen an 11 year old do anything like that. Actually I've never seen 15 year olds do that either.

Me: Thanks I used to practice for months.

Things here were already great. They gave me a long tour of the house afterwards.
