The blood continued to run and gush out of the body, splattering over the floor and staining everything on its way; the flickering lights shining over its crimson color as life finally left the body and it stopped squirming and convulsing.
The screaming had also stopped.
The silence that ruled the control room was a grave one, the sizzling of the dying light bulbs had turned into a background noise that no one seemed to notice; but the main problem had been solved and that was all the would ever matter.
The stench was gone.
Charlie slowly raised her head from the unmoving body, blood dripping down her snout and rolling down her long neck and her rising and falling chest; she took a deep breath before she once more looked down at the unmoving body.
The youngest of all the raptors opened her jaws and ripped off a piece of meat and swallowed it rapidly, she repeated her action a few more times and then cocked her head to the left as she examined the body; she really didn't want to eat anymore and she was certain the thing was dead so there was no use in ripping it open anymore, instead she turned on the ball of her claws and her eyes scanned the control room.
To her big and dark eyes at first it seemed that the control room was empty, but she knew better, her nose and her ears knew better and she rapidly found the location of the heavy breathing; with fresh blood still dripping from her powerful jaws, Charlie stepped over a discarded keyboard and looked over a desk to finally lock her eyes to the wall.

Zach had dropped the key board as he had dove under the jumping dinosaur, he thought he had been able to scream but he wouldn't be able to confirm it later on that day or ever for all that mattered.
The young man had pulled Bea down with him, he had heard her shriek and then she had been yanked out of his grip and he had heard a shot being fired; he had rolled over some broken glass before he had been able to push himself on all fours and had scanned the floor looking for Bea.
Bea lay over her back, her eyes locked over the ceiling, she had felt one of Charlie's back claws push her down to the floor, but to her surprise the raptor had pulled her claw off and had precipitated to Hoskins as the man shot at the raptor once more. Slowly she pushed herself to a sitting position just to feel some blood rolling down her back; probably from Charlie's push, she was snapped out of her shock by Zach's touch.
"We need to go" he whispered.
Bea turned to look at him and nodded, the young woman pushed herself up on all fours and started to crawl behind Zach as they made their way towards the entrance, her already wounded knees started to bleed once more as she crushed glass as they walked towards the stairs.
As they reached the wall next to the door, Bea heard a growl and stopped she turned around and pressed herself against the wall as she saw Charlie looking up from Hoskins' torn up torso. Zach turned to look at Bea and pressed himself against the wall as he heard Charlie snapping her jaws, the last thing he wanted was for Charlie to notice them and kill them now that she had killed Hoskins.
"She killed him" thought Bea "She killed him and not even the gun shot could stop her"
The wounded raptor growled as she got closer to Zach and Bea, she could barely feel the pain from her scrapped shoulder; she growled once more as Bea pulled her legs up to her chest.
"Don't move" whispered Zach.
But Bea knew better, she knew that the raptor could see them even if they didn't move, this wasn't a T-Rex, and even if her sight had been compromised, Charlie could hear them and above all she could smell them.
