"But my eyes flashed purple, that's definitely something a banshee wouldn't do."
"This is very unusual, I've had no experience with something like this before.. Did you feel any other changes? Other than your eyes?" Deaton asks me.
I shake my head, "No, not really."
I've been at the vet with the rest of the pack for two hours trying to figure out what I am exactly, because I'm pretty 99.9% sure banshees don't have glowing purple eyes.
Actually, scratch that. 100%
"Do you think you can show us them?"
I look around at everyone in the room, all their eyes on me. I see the eagerness and confusion on their face, at the edge of their seat to see.
I close my eyes, taking a deep breathe. I feel a slight change, opening them to show Deaton.Everyone in the room looks at my with amazement, never seeing such a thing.
"Siren." He answers quickly.
I shake my head, my hazel eyes revealing themselves again.
"A what?"
"You're a siren, a very rare kind. Sirens are mermaids who pulled men in with their beautiful voices and killed them."
"I kill people?!" I say, Liam lacing his fingers in mine to calm me down.
Deaton shakes his hand, a slight smile on his face.
"No, that's where the rare comes in. Usually, sirens have a tail, like a mermaid. And in order to hypnotize the men, they must sing. And kill them when they are completely hooked to them. But see you, you don't transform with the tail. It's your eyes, instead your eyes turn the color your tail would be. And you don't have to sing men in, they get pulled in with your eyes. And the most extraordinary thing, you don't kill when they are wrapped around your finger, you take their power to make you stronger."
"So what about Lucas? I didn't take his power."
"No, but you did hold him under your wing for a long time before sending him out. You need to learn control."
"So how did she become a siren? We don't know any sirens or has any contact till now." Scott asks.
"She was bitten with Lydia, becoming a banshee first. She became a banshee because Lydia was someone close to her, and they shared a bond which also shared a supernatural bond. If she weren't a banshee, she would've died. But again, something like her is rare. I've heard it once that if you are bitten and turn into something, as for her a banshee, but then turn into something else, a siren, you were changed because you fit that ability the better. She fit the siren better."
"This is so awesome, honestly.." I hear Stiles say next to me, laughing at him.

I open up the doors to the school, walking side by side with Lydia and Malia.
"The Dread Doctors by T.R. McCammon." Lydia says, reading the words off the book Malia gave her.
She shifts her head alittle.
"What?" Malia asks.
"I don't know. There's something about it."
"Has anyone actually read it yet?" I ask her, scanning the book.
"Just me. And I didn't understand any of it."
