"Some people are worth everything. I just wasn't worth enough."

JISOO'S POV
– 2 Years Later

The stadium is full.

Fans scream my name. Lights flash like stars made just for me.

I'm living the dream.
The one I sacrificed everything for.
Everything, her.

God, her name still feels like a bruise I press on when I want to feel something real.

But she's gone.
And it was my choice.

People call me strong.
But they didn't hear the words I said to her.
Didn't see her face when I said them.

"You're not worth the fallout."
"I've worked too hard to throw it away for something this stupid."

Stupid.
That's what I called her love.
Her sacrifice.
Her everything.

And now I stand here, successful, hearing loud applause yet stuck in such awful silence.

JENNIE'S POV

- 2 years later

I don't belong here anymore.

The lights are too bright. The crowd is too loud.

But I had to come.
Had to see her one last time, the girl I gave everything for.

Her.

Jisoo didn't just let me go.
She ripped me apart first.

" i wouldn't think twice to leave you behind for everything."
"Don't make me choose, Jennie.

And she was right.

I didn't win.
I lost everything.
Her. Us. Myself.

And still, here I am.
in the very back of the stadium
Clapping for the girl who chose the world over me.

" I won't make you choose, Jisoo.
I already know the answer. " I said, trembling while tears streamed down my cheeks.

FLASHBACK –
JISOO'S POV

"They hate us, Jennie!" I screamed, pacing the room. "I've got brands threatening to drop me. death threats. My career is hanging by a thread. "

"Then let it break!" she cried. "Let it break and choose me for once, god damnit!"

But I laughed.

A cold, bitter, almost cruel laugh.
Because in that moment, I saw it clearly

She would burn for me.
But I wouldn't even bruise for her.

"Do you think I worked this hard to lose everything over a girl I can't even post a photo with?"
"You're a risk, Jennie. One I can't afford, One i am not willing to take"

Her lips trembled. She opened her mouth to respond, but no sound came out.

I had to stand there, watch her slowly die but god forbid i just couldn't risk it all, not for her, no.

JENNIE'S POV

"You're a risk."

Those words still ring in my head.

I was her liability.

And yet, I would've traded everything for her.
My career. My name. My sanity.
I would've vanished from the industry if it meant being held by her one more night. If it meant having to taste her lips one more time.

But she wouldn't risk her image for me.

I remember standing at the door with my bags.
Waiting. Hoping.
Begging in silence for her to stop me.

But all she said was

"Don't make this harder than it already is."

Like I was the burden.

Did she choose to let me go because i was the easiest thing to let go off?

I would've stayed forever if she said "Don't go"

She never said it.

So I left — not because I wanted to, but because staying would've meant killing myself one apology at a time.

JISOO'S POV

She was always the braver one.
The one who loved harder.
Deeper.
Louder.

And me?
I was the coward.
The one who kissed her and then looked around, afraid that someone was staring.

People love me now.
But if they knew the price of my perfection... they'd see bloodstains behind every award.

I killed the best thing that ever happened to me.

JENNIE'S POV

Sometimes I wonder if she ever looks for me in the crowd.
If she ever reaches for her phone and almost types my name.
If she cries when the stage lights go out.

Or maybe she really did forget me.
Maybe all I ever waw
Was a lesson in sacrifice.
A warning in a love song.

"You'll never be more than a secret," she once said.

And I still stayed.

God, I still stayed.

Because I loved her.
And love doesn't keep tally.
It just keeps giving, even when it's already empty.

PRESENT
– JISOO'S POV

I saw her.

Far back, almost hidden, but there.
Clapping.

She came.

Even after everything I said.
After everything I did
After I made her feel like less than nothing
She still showed up.

And it broke me in a way the cameras will never see.

Because that's the difference between us.

Jennie would've given up the world for me.
And I gave her up to have the world.

- JENNIE'S POV

She smiled on stage.
She always smiles so well.
That damn smile that always gets me.

But for a second, she looked straight at me. And her smile faltered.

And I knew.

She remembered.
She REMEMBERED.

But we were past apologies now.

We were too broken to fix.
Too far gone to apologize.

And I wouldn't beg again.

So I stood.
Turned around.
And walked away.

_____________

-JISOO'S POV

I never had enough of anything.
i've always wanted more than what i could have. So, i learned something the hardest way, i couldn't have it both ways.

She would've chosen me over everything.
And I chose everything BUT her.

" Some people would burned down the world just for you.
Yet, you won't even light a match for them."
