I woke up to the very loud sound of wind and rain battering my window. Rolling over I checked the time, 9:30pm. It was early yet, considering all that had happened. I started to recall last night's events. To think that it all started with a dream made me chuckle. It must have been some dream if it dragged me out of the comfort of my warm bed just to write it down.
Thankfully I wrote it all down as I had completely no reminiscence of it. But is suddenly dawned on me that I had no clue what I did with that piece of paper! Distraught I threw the covers off and hopped out of bed. The shaggy carpet was warm and comforting between my toes. I sat myself down on it with my legs crossed and began to rub the temple of my head in hope that I would remember something.
Sadly all I could remember was bringing the paper upstairs. That means it most likely had to be in my room. Pulling myself up I walked towards my desk. It was times like this I wished I was a tidy and neat person.I frantically clawed my way through the heap of crumpled paper and napkin scraps, mostly empty take away food boxes and containers and sweet wrappers that I had dumped on my desk. I scrambled through drawers upon drawers of randomnes, to be fair it was mostly junk or broken junk.
Still not finding anything useful, bar a rusted pocket knife, I clambered my way under the bed. And God it was bad down there! There are no words to describe how gross it was. Unsuccessful, I crawled out. Not being careful on the way back up I bumped my head against the frame of the bed.
The pain was excruciating! I had to sit on my bed to recover and gather my thoughts. As I made contact with the mattress I heard a faint crumple. I reached down beneath where I was sitting and what did I find? Nothing!!! A scrap of paper with absolute gibberish wrote all over the damn thing! Or could this be it? No it made no sense, I couldn't read a word of it. But then again what else could it possibly be?
