Wolf and the rest of the crew didn’t waste a single second. As the dust began to settle and the last of the enemy resistance fell silent, they got to work piling their vehicle high with crates of weaponry and ammunition, scavenged from the base’s now-unlocked storage room. Rifles, grenades, detonators, and even high-grade tactical gear—they took everything that wasn’t bolted down.

Among them, Sam, one of the four, tall and broad-shouldered with a permanent smirk carved into his rugged face, paused for a moment, his eyes scanning the area. He furrowed his brow and called out, his voice raised over the clatter of metal and engines.

“Where’s our heroine?”

He hadn’t seen Yn, but her presence had lingered like a command in the air. And he was already impressed by her leadership skills. She hadn’t needed to shout, hadn’t needed to brandish a weapon to gain their respect.

It was her calm, calculated voice, laced with confidence and razor-sharp logic, that had guided them through the chaos. She had directed them like a general—precise, assertive, and always one step ahead.

Sam had fought in countless battles. He had seen people crack, leaders stumble, and teams fall apart under fire. But not this time. Not with Yn.

Without her steady hand guiding them—pinpointing enemy locations, suggesting flanking strategies, and even estimating reinforcement arrival windows—they would’ve been overwhelmed, buried beneath enemy fire.
But instead, they’d emerged victorious, with a truckload of weapons and their mission completed with minimal losses.

Without Yn’s help, they wouldn’t have been able to destroy the base so easily, and leave with such excellent rewards. To Sam, she wasn’t just a strategist. She was a hero—and he hadn’t even seen her face yet.

Ali turned her head in the direction of the surveillance room and answered with a calm nod. “She’s still inside… tying up loose ends.”

Just as the words left her mouth, the heavy door creaked open with a metallic groan. Yn stepped out. Her silhouette was framed by the dim, flickering light behind her, and there was a faint shimmer of sweat on her brow, her face calm but focused—the kind of composure only honed by battle and burden.

Her jacket was slightly rumpled, and she had dust on her sleeves, but she walked with quiet purpose, like someone who still had work left to do.

Ali’s eyes immediately locked onto her. “What were you doing in there?” Her voice wasn’t accusing—just curious. She had known Yn enough by now to know she didn’t waste time without a reason.

Yn’s reply came soft but clear, her tone laced with something only a few could recognize—intention. “Shutting down the internal systems.”

And in an instant, everything clicked into place. The group understood finally. Even though they had cleared the base but there would be evidence in the computer server.
