*Mias pov*
"oomf!"
My eyes instantly snap open looking for the source, landing on a man on the ground. He quickly hops up and runs as soon as i notice he has my money. I jump up and chase after him only to slam into someone and fall down onto my bum."watch where youre going!" He growls at me like im gum on the bottom of his shoe. I flinch at the harshness in his voice and look up only to be met by these beautiful green candy apple eyes. The stranger's eyes instantly soften, seeing the fear in my eyes, and probably becauss of the state I'm in. "Im sorry, here" He speaks in a deep voice that suddently sounds so caring as he reaches down and helps me up.
"I- I'm sorry sir...i didnt see you." I croak out in a hushed tone. I look down ready to leave when i feel his hand on my shoulder again.
"Hey, let me help you out. You can come with me back to my hotel room, shower, change, eat some food. Won't be a problem." He smiles, trying not to scare me.
"I dont want to be a bother." I try pulling away to continue my way down the busy street.
"Honestly, its not a problem." He explains. I'm hestitant at first to accept his offer, its been a long time since ive last eaten a warm meal and bathed. I find myself accepting and following him into the fancy hotel and leading me to his room.
"Im Dean, Dean Smith." He says on our way to the room.
"Mia" I reply quietly looking down at my feet.
"Well Mia, do you have a last name?" I shake my head, looking up at him to
"Oh...How come?" I shrug in response looking down.
"They disowned me." I respond, lookomg up at him. He nods loomimg at me with pity.
I notice the people around us giving me dirty looks and i try to disapear. Dean notices and hands me his jacket. 'If I touch it, it will become dirty. He won't want to touch it after me.' I shake my head and look down. He nods and keads me toward his hotel room.
"I'll order some breakfast for you while you shower okay? Oh I'll also leave some sweats and a t shirt in the bathroom. There should be things you can use." Dean tells me with a smile as he unlocks the door. I nod and walk in after him.
I gasp. This room is just so beautiful. It's mainly black, white, but there are red decorations scattered accross the walls. I'm in complete awe.
"I'll show you to the bathroom and grab some clothes. Is there anything specific you want for breakfast?" His smooth deep voice penetrates my mind.
"I'm good with whatever." I say softly. He nods and keads me to the bathroom.
"You can start your shower. I'll just keave clothes next to the sink."he explains before closing the door.
I peel off my grimy, tattered clothes. I examine them. I can't remember tge last time I showered or changed. I smile a bit and start the shower.
I climb in once the water warms up. I gasp a bit at the steaming water hitting my greasey, dirty self. I don't even know where to start. I grab the shampoo and pour some out into the palm of my hand. I begin to massage the soap into my thick, filthy hair. I might have to do it a few times to get somewhere. I peak my head out and grab a brush sitting on the counter. I pull it through the knots and tangles in my hair hoping to get somewhere. I repeat the process a few times before scrubbing off my body. God, I missed feeling clean. I turn the water off and get out. I grab a big fluffy towel and dry myself off.
Once I'm dry I look to see what Dean left me. They're some grey sweat pants and a black t shirt. I smile and pull them on, not caring the clothes are too big.
I walk out of the bathroom and see Dean.
"Hey, feeling better? I'm sorry those clothes dont fit. Maybe I can have a friend pick some clothes up for you." He explains.
"You don't need to. Once I eat I think I'll be on my way."
"Oh.. where will you go? I don't want to see you get hurt while on the streets."
"I'll figure sometging out.."
"Can you stay for a few days at least? It's getting close to winter."
"Fine. I mean, you have a point" I sigh resulting in a small smile from him.
"Great. Food will be here in a few. I ordered some eggs, bacon, toast, and hashbrowns for you."
