* Lourdes' P.O.V *
I lay awake thinking about him. I did that sometimes, no all the time. His eyes, blue with green flecks mesmerize me even when I close my eyes. I love him so much, for so long. Some might say it's puppy love. But puppy love of 10 years. Puppy love doesn't last so long.
Beep! My iphone drew me out of my musings with its constant beeping. "Who would be texting me?" I said to myself. It was him. Jake.
Jake: r u getting ready to come over?
Lourd: y would I come over?
Jake: u forgot that your parents r coming over 4 dinner.
Lourd: OH GOD!! Thanks for reminding me. I'm gone.
With that I threw down Jessie (my iphone), and ran for the bath. I came out in the next 20 minutes. In a rush I threw on the first thing I touched. I spotted my favorite black heels and put them on. Then came the makeup and hair, in another 20 minutes I was finished.
Standing in front of the mirror I did a little twirl. My outfit consisted of an intricate lace dress that ended right above my knees. Three gold bangles on each wrist, a simple pair of gold earrings and my gold locket hung around my neck. I got that locket from my grandmother and I wear it everywhere. My long black hair which came to the center of my back was in layers and layers of curls. My makeup was simple; a little blush and some eyeshadow to make my green eyes pop. The black heels helped to make my legs look endless. My skin was tanned adding the perfect touch.
Satisfied with my look, I took up my phone and slipped it into a gold clutch along with my other necessities (lipstick...). Once I was finished I headed out, with only one thought in my mind : would Jake like it?
