The branch cracked under Roberts' boot as he moved towards his target, Nichols and Simons followed carrying all the equipment they were tracking a band of gorillas for the best of two days, and now they had found them Roberts raised his magnum, he knew a shot in the heart would easily kill the young gorilla he had in his sight, he took another step, slow and calculated a small twig snapped and his quarry looked in his direction; luckily the wind was blowing against him so his scent wouldn't be picked up by the large ape. Roberts looked at the hands of the gorilla he thought they would go for about $600 in the black market. Roberts was wary as he put his finger on the trigger a gorilla that size was easily three times as strong as him a miscalculation meant the beast could charge, he looked behind to check for any unseen threats, he saw none but Nichols had vanished; he had been complaining about the heat and the weight of the equipment since they arrived he wouldn't just leave in fear now. Roberts gave a series of silent hand movements Simons was as confused as he was. Roberts turned his attention back to the gorillas he was now shaking he pulled the trigger the shot went wide the gorillas saw him and were displaying a task of aggression. he was now a bit depressed as he had to take a head shot the head was worth more intact he turned to ask his remaining henchman for protection but he to had the same fate, he was gone. Roberts was now terrified he shot wide again and the gorillas fled. Roberts started to run down the mountain they were on in fear just in time to see legs get hoisted higher into a tree above and a bag fall it was labeled with Nichols' name on the bottom Roberts was now frozen to the ground he heard a deafening howl he thought was only possible with hundreds of different animals all howling at once he started to sprint, the canopy hung low under him so he had to crawl he felt something sticky on his hand he knew he wasn't bleeding, he turned back and saw what he crawled in, it was someone else's blood he knew who's it was but didn't want to believe it. He hoped that Simons didn't face the same grizzly end as his friend but it was true his empty eyes stared back at Roberts and he screamed. He turned around to run but a silhouette stopped him with one swoop of his knife Roberts was dead the beast let out a roar of victory, it was Tarzan the jungle king!
